The Outside Sales &amp; Design Consultant (part-time) is a skilled salesperson with a strong results record, providing exceptional service in custom designs and organizational solutions for homes and select small to mid-sized business environments. This role designs and sells custom spaces to customers in their homes and business locations by appointment.</p><p><br>
This position manages and coordinates all phases of customer projects from in-home consultation, design, installation, and organizing to provide a seamless customer experience. As a Gensler Designer- Interiors for the Work Studio in Chicago, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging.<br>
<br>
<b>What You Will Do</b></div><ul><li><div>
Collaborate on workplace interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate with junior team members and Project Architects on delivery of project milestones</div></li><li><div>
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&amp;E), color palettes, lighting, and furniture specifications</div></li><li><div>
Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction</div></li><li><div>
Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts</div></li><li><div>
Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, consultants, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives</div></li><li><div>
Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination</div></li><li><div>

Your Qualifications</b></div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited school</div></li><li><div>
4+ years of experience as a Designer</div></li><li><div>
Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D and other modeling software programs</div></li><li><div>
Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF+E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials</div></li><li><div>
Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SPEXX a plus</div></li><li><div>
Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas</div></li><li><div>
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development</div></li><li><div>
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment</div></li><li><div>
Goals to pursue interior design certification or licensure and LEED accreditation are encouraged</div></li><li><div>
