The New England College of Optometry invites applications for a limited part-time tutor position.

Job responsibilities include assisting final-year optometry students and recent alumni with Part 3 boards exam preparation. This includes review and practice of patient encounter cases and clinical skills assistance at the New England College of Optometry 424 Beacon Street Campus. Patient encounter assistance can take place over Zoom, while clinical skills assistance including slit lamp exam, Goldmann applanation tonometry, 4-mirror gonioscopy, dilated biomicroscopy and binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy would take place in person at the Beacon campus.
<br><br>
<b>Hours include:</b> variable and somewhat flexible, but will depend upon the clinic schedule of the student(s) being assisted; this is typically weekday evenings and weekends.
<br><br>
<b>Pay rate:</b> $55/hour

At the time of the appointment, the successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.) and have or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Optometry License with TPA certification. 826 Boston offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with the potential for an annual performance-based bonus. The salary for this position is $40,900 for 40 hours per week.</p><p></p><p><br>

The MGH Department of Pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Medication History/Transitions of Care team. This position will be focused on transitions of care, starting with admission medication histories, reconciliation, and supporting the continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. The Clinical Pharmacist will supervise pharmacy technicians/students/residents participating in the daily conduct of this pharmacy program.

Clinical Pharmacists assume responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. Clinical Pharmacists proficiently provide direct patient-centered care and integrated pharmacy operational services with physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel to deliver optimal medication therapy to patients with a broad range of disease states. These clinicians are aligned with target interdisciplinary programs and specialty services to deliver medication therapy management and to ensure pharmaceutical care programs are appropriately integrated throughout the institution. Pharmaceutical care services include, but are not limited to, assessing patient needs, incorporating age and disease specific characteristics into drug therapy and patient education, adjusting care according to patient response, and providing clinical interventions to detect, mitigate, and prevent medication adverse events. Clinical Pharmacists serve as a departmental resources and liaisons to other departments, hospital personnel, or external groups. They proficiently manage the appropriate use of medications according to professional and regulatory standards. They also conduct practice-related research and patient care, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives designed to improve medication-use processes or pharmacy practice.
