The Senior Director, Translational Research - Cellular Therapy will provide scientific and people leadership for translational strategy, execution, and correlative analysis across Bristol Myers Squibb's cellular therapy portfolio. This role is responsible for shaping and delivering integrated translational and biomarker strategies that enable development decisions, regulatory success, and life-cycle management of cell therapy assets across hematologic malignancies and, where applicable, solid tumors, autoimmunity and neuro-inflammation.<br>

The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of translational scientists and serve as a senior scientific leader on cross-functional teams, partnering closely with Clinical Development, Discovery, CMC, Regulatory, Computational Biology, and external collaborators. The Genetics Division includes faculty who collaborate with pathologists, laboratory geneticists, medical geneticists, oncologists, and researchers across UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and Seattle Children&rsquo;s Hospital in an extremely collegial, supportive, and interactive environment.</div><br>

The successful candidate will serve as an associate director in the Department&rsquo;s molecular laboratories focused on oncology and genetics. Specific responsibilities will include histology slide assessment, tissue selection, molecular assay interpretation and sign out, molecular assay development and validation, participation in laboratory operations, and molecular tumor boards. Additional responsibilities include teaching residents, fellows, medical students, and medical laboratory science undergraduate students. The successful candidate is expected to develop an area of scholarship appropriate to their clinical and/or educational interests. The Genetics Division is staffed by 20 faculty who collectively sign out over 20,000 tests annually.</div><br>

Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). The successful candidate will possess an MD (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified or board-eligible (or foreign equivalent) in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology or anatomic pathology. The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible in Molecular Genetic Pathology. Must qualify for a license to practice medicine in Washington State. Documented expertise is required with molecular diagnostic test development, clinical interpretation of complex genomic test results, and managing the selection and analysis of tissue samples for molecular testing. A record of research, as documented by publications, is also required. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1-B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.</p>

They will perform and advise on a variety of trades payable and accounts payable activities, including the processing of final approvals of trades payable invoices within the Viewpoint accounting system. They will maintain the accounts payable vendor master files in accordance with Sellen procedures and policies.
