The Security Guard (Temporary Full-Time) is part of the David H. Koch Theater Operations team and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, staff, patrons, and all visitors to the Theater. The position reports to the Director of Safety &amp; Security. This is a temporary full-time position. The Security Officer position is a union represented role and the successful candidate will be required to join SEIU Local 32-BJ within 30 days of employment. 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location serving individuals in need of housing support.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions, observations, and/or policy concerns to site leadership.</li>
<li>Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.</li>
<li>Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and/or assist with directing staff, residents, vendors, and visitors.</li>
<li>Document daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information during shift changes and to Allied Universal management as needed.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.</li>
<li>Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.</li>
<li>A guard card or license is preferred.</li>
<li>Access control and badge experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.</li>
<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
