 The Assistant Manager, Project Engineering is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support across all project phases, with a key focus on the execution and completion of Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Pre‑Commissioning, and handover deliverables. About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Engineer (Bridges &amp; Highway Structures O&amp;M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar on a long-term project managing the Strategic Highways Structures in the country.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Structures Manager to coordinate and manage Inspections and Maintenance of bridges and highway structures across the network, ensuring their safety, structural integrity and serviceability in compliance with the contract&rsquo;s Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This includes bridges, footbridges flyovers/interchanges, iconic bridges, tunnels, monuments, culverts, retaining walls, gantries, masts and other highway structural assets.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Manage and coordinate all activities assigned by the Project Manager to ensure compliance with contractual requirements for Inspections, Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance, meeting all required SLAs and KPIs &ndash; effectively eliminating any qualify failures.</li><li>
Ensure daily effective utilization of all staff working for Structures (both in house and subcontractors) eliminating waste and ensuring consistency.</li><li>
Ensure accurate utilization of Asset Management System (MAXIMO) to manage and close out Work Orders (Wos) and Service Request (SRs) correctly and efficiently by all stakeholders (internal and external) involved in structures works.</li><li>

 Your Role
 
 
 
 As a
 
 QA/QC Manager
 
 , you will
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project-specific QA/QC plans, Inspection &amp; Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage a multidisciplinary QA/QC team including inspectors, document controllers, and auditors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee all site inspections, testing, and quality surveillance activities in accordance with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and HSE teams to ensure consistent quality standards across all disciplines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Interface with clients, EPC partners, and regulatory bodies on all quality-related matters.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct internal and external audits; report findings and drive corrective/preventive actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001, API, ASME, and applicable project codes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage site NCRs, quality KPIs, and deliver timely reports to project leadership.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support mechanical completion, commissioning, and final project handover documentation.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 What We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Experience
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum 15+ years of QA/QC experience, with at least 5 years in EPC Oil &amp; Gas projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience managing QA/QC teams at major project sites.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Education
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field)
 </li>
 <li>
 Certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP, AWS-CWI, API, ASNT Level II/III are highly advantageous.
 </li>
 <li>
 HSE certification related to material handling and logistics.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills and Expertise:

 Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle&mdash;engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
