</p><p></p><p>The Interactions of SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Genetic Variation on the Risk of Cognitive Decline and Alzheimer&rsquo;s Disease in Ancestral and Admixed Populations (ISAVRAD) Study and the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Study Assistant to participate in clinical research at University of Washington Medical Center &ndash; Montlake Campus. Under the general direction of the Principal Investigators and Research Coordinator, this position assists in the recruitment and data collection for National Institute of Health (NIH)-funded research investigating the long-term health effects of COVID-19 in American Indian and Native Alaskan (AI/AN) elders.
</p><p></p><p>The Research Study Assistant will operate under supervision and perform participant outreach, eligibility screening, and recruitment. This position will also conduct data collection and entry tracking activities using primarily REDCap and Microsoft Excel.
</p><p></p><p><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of senior laboratory members, the <b>Research Technician I</b> will support and contribute to ongoing research projects using established experimental protocols. Primary responsibilities include:</div><ul><li>
Performing laboratory experiments in fruit fly genetics, ELISA-based assays, biochemistry (including Western blotting and immunoprecipitation), and molecular biology (cloning, PCR).</li><li>

</b></p><p></p><p>The Office for Academic Personnel and Faculty (APF) is a coalition of strategic partners focused on serving the University of Washington&rsquo;s current and prospective faculty, librarians, residents, fellows, postdoctoral scholars, and academic staff. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Faculty Development, the Program Operations Specialist will support the APF Development pillar by providing leadership and management for operations, communications, design and implementation of expanded leadership and development programming. The specialist will be instrumental in further scale up of APF development programs, broad implementation, evaluation, and communications. This position is responsibility for day-to-day program logistics and long-term operations planning.
</p><p></p><p>The person in this position serves in a variety of administrative roles and must demonstrate effective communication, administrative judgment, and innovative ability. They must be able to work independently and as a member of the Development Support Services (DSS) Team. APF development programs will have an eye towards improving faculty well-being, and as such, deep knowledge of programs and interventions geared towards cohort building, fostering inclusive organizational climates, communications and leadership skill building will be instrumental.
