Job Title: Rooftop Restaurant Hostess (PART-TIME)
The experienced Restaurant Host/Hostess will primarily be covering shifts, working during the workweek (Monday through Friday 3pm - 12am) and also every weekend, which includes Saturdays/Sundays. 
 
Overview:
The Host/Hostess position will be responsible for greeting, seating guests who are eating at the restaurant for breakfast service. This position must be able to work with each server on duty to make sure that the rotation of tables are filled out equitably. This position requires someone who can think on their feet while at the same time maintain a professional and friendly demeanor. 
Once the guest(s) are seated the host will be required to prepare the guest of what to expect and if needed help serve coffee and or beverage of their choice.

Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Check restaurant for proper set-up upon arrival.</li><li>
Check micro machines to make sure they are set to the proper menu.</li><li>
Fill out floor plan by checking station rotation chart. Assign sidework schedule on floor plan. Post floor plan at host stand.</li><li>
Fill out menu class form, gather specials and daily information from expeditor or food production manager. Conduct menu class.</li><li>
Seat guests following a rotation of stations, issue menus. If there is an extra seat, and no DRA, remove the extra silverware and return them to credenza.</li><li>
Record number of guests on guest flow chart per station. Next in rotation should be marked on this sheet.</li><li>
Know micro procedure if applicable.</li><li>
Check opening sidework before sending servers on break.</li><li>
Set micro machines to next shifts menu and turn machines off.</li><li>
Be familiar with hotel facilities and their location and hours of operation or where to direct guests to find this information. Know directions to get to hotel.</li><li>
Each employee is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management that the employee is capable of performing.</li></ul>

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Manager, Social Media &amp; Content Production creates and manages daily content that showcases the energy, culture, and neighborhoods of Los Angeles across our global channels. This role is hands-on, writing, shooting, editing, and publishing content while staying tapped into what&rsquo;s happening around the city. You will help maintain the social calendar, partner with agencies and creators, and bring fresh ideas that align with our programs and brand voice. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, culturally aware, and comfortable balancing fieldwork with day-to-day posting and community engagement. You&rsquo;ll play a key role in growing our audience, keeping our content timely and relevant, and bringing the unique voice of LA to life.
 WHAT YOU WILL DO<ul><li>
Own day-to-day management of LA Tourism&rsquo;s global social media platforms (6M + followers), including in-market content capture, editing (photo/video), posting, and community management. (20%)</li><li>
Co-develop program-level social strategies with the Creative Director and execute content creation hands-on using a stable of freelancers and influencers year-round (examples: Dine LA, Event Marketing, LA Pride, Mega Sports Events, etc.). Source, recruit, negotiate and draft scope of work for contracts with each individual influencer and freelancer for marketing programs. (20%)</li><li>
Produce and publish original content for all social channels, actively identifying real-time opportunities and driving traffic to the website to meet program and annual goals. (20%)</li><li>
Maintain a bi-weekly social media editorial calendar for all platforms; ensure cultural and current events sensitivity; manage community engagement daily. (15%)</li><li>
Partners with advertising agencies to align paid/organic content, optimize performance globally, and traffic assets as needed. (10%)</li><li>

4-5 years of hands-on social media/content experience for lifestyle, entertainment, sports, or consumer brands.</li><li>
