SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Reporting directly to the Chrome Hearts Global Controller, the Assistant Controller will oversee the
accounting operations and lead a growing team of 4+ professionals. The Assistant Controller&rsquo;s duties are focused on ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting entries, monthly close processes, financial reporting, maintaining internal controls/policies, and assisting with financial and tax audits. This is a key position, requires several years of proven experience, and is expected to work in-person at our HQ complex in Hollywood, CA (this is not a remote work position). 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE<ul><li>
Detail-oriented, hands-on Assistant Controller with a solid background in retail or manufacturing preferred</li><li>
Solid understanding of global business accounting including, but not limited to, international manufacturing, distribution, and retail store accounting: full scope from purchasing raw materials, manufacturing through to finished goods, inventory accounting for distribution, and ultimately in-store and online retail sales, Foreign Currency (FX), and Tax Compliance</li><li>
Effective control implementations: assist with maintaining accounting policies and procedures, monthly balance sheet reviews, GL account reconciliations, and streamline close process to 6 days</li><li>
Streamline the overall accounting operations through workflow improvements, automations, and leveraging out of country contract resources to accommodate Chrome Hearts&rsquo; scale and growth initiatives</li></ul> 
RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Oversee and manage accounting functions including: Accounts Payable and Prepaids, Fixed</li><li>
Assets, Taxes, GL accounting, Master Data maintenance, and other areas as required</li><li>
Assess current practices and procedures (including effective use of ERP and other systems), make</li><li>
recommendations and implement best practices</li><li>
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness</li><li>
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested</li><li>
Assist with year-end audit activities; work with external domestic and international auditors to</li><li>
ensure accuracy and year-end reporting</li><li>
Develop staff by cross-training, managing performance, goal setting, providing timely and</li><li>
ongoing feedback, and building strong team relationships</li></ul> 
REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance, ideally with professional accreditation such as a</li><li>
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)</li><li>
7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with several years in a supervisory role</li><li>
Thorough understanding of US GAAP</li><li>
Knowledge of manufacturing industry and retail experience strongly preferred</li><li>
Cost accounting experience in consumer products manufacturing environment preferred</li><li>
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including significant relevant experience</li><li>
with financial consolidations and reporting. Candidates experienced with consolidations and</li><li>
reporting of multi-divisional entities will be at an advantage</li><li>
Must have proactive project management skills (workflow planning and management, people</li><li>
management and coaching, etc.)</li><li>
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization</li><li>
Must have positive attitude, confident demeanor, and be willing to tackle challenging tasks</li><li>
under competing deadlines. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where people at</li><li>
all levels are expected to &quot;roll up their sleeves&quot; and exhibit a &quot;can do&quot; spirit, and see projects</li><li>
through to completion</li><li>
Excellent Microsoft Office and financial systems skills (D365 is a plus)</li></ul>

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Direct supervisory responsibility of a department of 4+ accounting professionals (two Accounts Payable staffers, one Junior Accountant, and one Staff Accountant) and management of out of country contract resources

The pay range for this role is:
