<div>The Security Supervisor will assist in the day-to-day and long-term operations of the Museum. To ensure a safe environment for visitors, staff, and Museum collections and property: supervise security personnel; patrol the Museum; participate in incident investigations; respond to emergency situations; prepare and submit reports to the Director. The Security Supervisor is responsible for the Security function when the Director is off-site.</div>

<ul><li>Plan, schedule, assign, and monitor New York Historical security personnel;</li>
<li>Assist in coordinating security needs for museum events and activities;</li>

What You'll Do:</b>
</p><ul><li>Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government services location.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site leadership and/or public agency contacts.</li>
<li>Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.</li>
<li>Monitor access points and verify visitor, staff, and contractor entry according to site rules, assisting with directional support and maintaining orderly movement throughout the location.</li>
<li>Support daily operations by preparing logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, while communicating notable security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.</li></ul><p><b>
Minimum Requirements:</b>
</p><ul><li>Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.</li>
<li>Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.</li>
<li>A guard card and/or license is preferred.</li>
<li>Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.</li>
<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
