ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

<li>Develop and recommend policies and procedures for all SCI security program areas.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a security awareness and education program for DOE headquarters and laboratory security personnel, focusing on the requirements of the SCI program.</li>
<li>Review and provide comments on DOE and Intelligence Community security directives and work closely with both physical security personnel and technical personnel to ensure all security requirements are met.</li>
<li>Represent the DOE SCIF Program at internal/external meetings, working groups, and interagency committees.</li>

What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and front desk post orders.</li>
<li>Control access at the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary badges and/or passes, and directing guests to appropriate locations.</li>
<li>Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control equipment from the front desk and report irregular activity according to site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and communicating with site contacts and/or public service partners as directed.</li>
<li>Complete shift logs and incident reports with clear, timely documentation, and support administrative tasks such as key control, package handling, and phone and radio communications as assigned.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.</li>
<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
