The Associate Social Media Editor will join a new team within the Transaction department at People Inc. and will be responsible for the creation of social media content to market and build an audience for a new product. This role requires someone who is passionate about social media content, social media marketing, and shopping. They will write, film, star in, and edit social media content that acquires and engages a loyal following and converts them into loyal users. This role will report to the Senior Social Media Editor.</div><div></div><div>
Your day-to-day:</div><ul><li><div>
Pitch, write scripts for, shoot, and edit short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook</div></li><li><div>
Support the execution of the brand&rsquo;s content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging formats</div></li><li><div>
Pitch original content ideas and contribute to brainstorming sessions</div></li><li><div>
Write engaging hooks and captions aligned with the brand&rsquo;s voice</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with creative, design, and marketing teams to support broader campaigns and storytelling initiatives</div></li><li><div>
Assist in maintaining weekly and monthly editorial calendars and help prepare content in advance of key marketing moments</div></li><li><div>
Produce additional formats, including static graphics, carousels, GIFs, and Instagram Stories</div></li><li><div>
Stay up to date on platform trends, current events, and algorithm changes to inform content creation and strategy</div></li><li><div>
Attend in-person events and activations as needed to capture social content</div></li><li><div>
Support community management efforts by responding to comments, engaging with followers, and interacting with relevant accounts</div></li><li><div>

Pay Range</div>
Salary: New York: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00<div></div><div>
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. <p>
We are seeking a highly creative, strategic, and execution-driven Social Media &amp; Talent Producer to shape, manage, and amplify Brian's voice across platforms. This hybrid role blends content production, influencer management, and media coordination in a fast-paced, always-on environment where timeliness, storytelling, and brand alignment are essential. You'll be responsible for both conceiving and executing content strategy in real time, often responding to breaking news and trending moments as they happen.</p>
<p>
The Social Media &amp; Talent Producer will proactively identify trending topics and relevant storylines, script and produce compelling video content, and manage Brian's shoot schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality production aligned with brand priorities. This is a high-visibility role that requires strong editorial instincts, polished production skills, and the ability to operate confidently in executive-facing and media-driven environments. You will own ideas from start to finish, working iteratively and moving quickly across ideation, creation and publish.</p>

The Social Media &amp; Talent Producer will report into the Senior Vice President of Communications and is based in our New York City office on a hybrid schedule.</p>
<p><b>
What You'll Do:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Own and manage Brian Kelly's social content calendar, including researching and pitching timely and newsworthy topics. You'll be the driver of this calendar, not just an executor. You'll be constantly evaluating emerging opportunities and making calls on what to produce and when</li>
<li>Script, film, produce, and edit social-first video content across platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok). This includes hands-on production work: you'll write scripts, manage shoots and edit final videos</li>
<li>Collaborate with Communications, Partnerships, Social, and Editorial teams on trending news, partnership launches, and social content strategy</li>
<li>Act as on-set producer and videographer for Brian's content shoots</li>
<li>Maintain a consistent tone, voice, and visual identity across all content</li>
<li>Track performance metrics, compile insights, and iterate content strategy accordingly. You'll be responsible for understanding what resonates and adjusting strategy in real time</li>
<li>Support breaking news coverage within the travel and points &amp; miles space</li>
<li>Occasional domestic and international travel will be required</li>
</ul>
<p><b>What We're Looking For:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>4-6 years of experience in media production, influencer/talent management, digital content strategy, or a related field</li>
<li>Proven experience producing and editing short-form social video content</li>
<li>Proficiency with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms</li>
<li>Familiarity with social analytics tools and platform-native insights (Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, etc.)</li>
<li>Strong editorial judgment and ability to respond quickly to emerging news cycles</li>
<li>Comfortable working independently and making decisions</li>
<li>Confident on-set presence with the ability to direct on-camera talent effectively</li>
<li>Exceptional written communication skills for scripts, captions, and briefing materials</li>
<li>Strong storytelling instincts and audience-first mindset</li>
<li>Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment</li>
<li>Passion for travel, loyalty programs, credit cards, and consumer media is a strong plus</li>

<p><b>Compensation:</b></p>

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.</i></p>
