 The selected candidate will identify and solve IT hardware and application software issues identified by the Helpdesk service tickets, or directly by students, instructors, and prevent disruption of IT services. He/she will Liaise with IT Helpdesk Specialist to understand end-users&rsquo; requests and needs. Consult with employees, students and instructors to determine hardware, software or system issues. Hardening<ul><li>Define and enforce Linux OS security standards including access control, logging, auditing, and system hardening.</li><li>Ensure backup data is protected through encryption, immutability, and secure access controls.</li><li>Support compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements related to data protection and system security.</li></ul>Centralized Management &amp; Monitoring<ul><li>Implement centralized monitoring, alerting, and reporting for Linux and backup platforms.</li><li>Ensure unified visibility across on premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.</li><li>Define operational KPIs, health dashboards, and capacity reports.</li></ul>Project Delivery &amp; Technical Leadership<ul><li>Lead Linux and backup related initiatives end to end, including new deployments, upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and guidance to system engineers and administrators.</li><li>Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.</li></ul>Stakeholder &amp; Cross Team Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with infrastructure, virtualization, database, security, and application teams.</li><li>Act as a technical interface with business users, vendors, and service providers.</li><li>Communicate technical designs, risks, and operational impacts clearly and professionally.</li></ul>Necessary Knowledge and Experience to be able to do the Job<ul><li>8&ndash;10 years of experience in enterprise Linux systems engineering and architecture.</li><li>Strong hands on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux in mission critical environments.</li><li>8&ndash;10 years of experience in with Commvault Backup, Recovery, and Archive solutions, including Commvault Cloud Archive.</li><li>Demonstrated experience integrating Commvault Archive with Azure and Google Cloud archive storage.</li><li>Strong understanding of backup, archive, retention, compliance, and disaster recovery concepts.</li></ul>Education and Certification Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Mandatory: Valid Commvault certification related to Backup &amp;
