Job Description:

The Commercial/Industrial HVAC/R Service Technician will work with numerous system parts and mechanisms, to maintain, diagnose and correct HVAC/R system problems. This includes replacing parts and adjusting system controls for better performance by using special tools and diagnostic equipment. Ideal candidates will need to have knowledge of HVAC/R equipment and know the proper service procedures needed to make repairs to equipment in the RETAIL/SUPERMARKET ENVIRONMENT.

Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Build strong customer relationships; build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations.</li>
<li>Provides preventive maintenance on heating, cooling and refrigeration systems.</li>
<li>Troubleshoots units that are not working and replaces parts that are defective.</li>

About the Role
 The Senior Building Engineer, Utilities supports a pharmaceutical client by performing advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across the facility. Working under general direction, you’ll oversee building system operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure reliable performance of critical equipment and controls.
 This role requires specialized on site expertise and operates on 12 hour shifts within a 2 2 3 schedule.
 What You’ll Do
 
Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building equipment, which may include: mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
 Maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
 Maintains adequate supplies and tools and orders necessary materials to complete all tasks.
 Ensures measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
 Coordinates and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work may include landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.
 Carries out tasks following established procedures and maintenance instructions.
 Performs niche and sophisticated tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, pipe-fitting, and works with lock out/tag out. Performs inspection of building systems including HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and electrical. What You’ll Need
 
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Universal CFC certification required.
 Additional certification in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.

SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION
Republic&rsquo;s recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.
The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nation&rsquo;s first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.
We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.

 The Security Technician is responsible for managing all aspects of access control and IP Camera products and systems installed at client sites. The Security Technician must be able to independently install, program, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on electronic devices, power supplies and all network components. S/He will need communicate effectively with the Field Supervisor and present a knowledgeable and engaging image to customers.

 Duties and Responsibilities
 
 
 
 As a Security Technician, the successful candidate will need to be hard-working, detail-oriented, highly organized and able to work independently to maintain security hardware in the client&rsquo;s and Unlimited Technology&rsquo;s best interests.

 Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other UT employees as well as UT customers.
