Summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Project Manager to support various federal projects $25-$50M with potential for $100M-$150M projects. Job Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for general operations and maintenance software and technical support services for the Nuvolo Clinical EAM platform, in both the various lower and Production environments, supporting the Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs) within the enterprise. The position requires consistent interaction with key internal APA leadership as well as outside experts, including leadership of national mental health care organizations. These relationships take considerable nurturing, including skillful guidance to get deliverables completed on-time and on-brand. The Program Manager is an outward facing representative of the contract.

</li><li>Clinical degree relevant to mental health (e.g., social work, nursing, psychology, pharmacy, psychiatry, counselor)
</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills
</li><li>Self-motivated, able to work independently, as well as in multi-disciplinary teams
</li><li>Curious to learn and to grow in the position

 Job Overview
 
 
 
 The Laboratory on Social &amp; Affective Neuroscience is located in the Department of Psychology at Georgetown University. We conduct research aimed at understanding the social, cognitive, and neural basis of social processes that include empathy, altruism, and aggression. We tackle these questions using multiple approaches that include functional and structural brain imaging in adults from both typical and special populations, as well as behavioral methods. Current research projects include behavioral and brain imaging investigations of altruism, generosity, empathy, social learning, and antisocial behavior.
 
 
 The Lab Manager (LM) is involved in a range of functions essential to carrying out empirical research and operating the lab. The LM applies for (and manages) approval for research by oversight bodies and coordinates protocol development, recruitment, and fMRI/behavioral data collection. The LM leads and directs the work of others by directly hiring and managing undergraduate research assistants. The LM coordinates administrative tasks and scheduling for the lab. The LM may assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in designing study protocols and the preparation of manuscripts, depending on their preparation and training.
 
 
 
 Work Interactions
 
 
 
 The Lab Manager reports directly to the PI. The Lab Manager supervises undergraduate research assistants. The Lab Manager interacts with human subject participants, research staff, and the PI, post-doctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate research assistants in the laboratory in-person, via email, and via phone.
