Position Summary:

OPM Pakistan's finance department's accounts payable team are responsible for managing the office's outgoing cashflow. They record and process financial transactions related to procurement and suppliers, ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time, and work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve and records or payments issues.</div><div></div><div> 
With the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of Accounts Payable, this role is suitable for an experienced Junior AP Clerk wanting to move to a role with more responsibility as well as more experienced Accounts Payable professionals.</div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
As an Accounts Payable Assistant at OPM you will:</h1><ul><li>
Post invoices in the D365 finance system via 3-way match (PO&rsquo;s and GRN&rsquo;s), primarily for the Pakistan office but also for other OPM group offices.</li><li>
Prepare and process the weekly payment run to suppliers and for staff expenses; resolve any payment rejections.</li><li>
Create and amend suppliers, ensuring that company procedures are adhered to.</li><li>
Reconcile supplier statements.</li><li>
Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.</li><li>
Register incoming invoices and credit notes to the finance systems, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Attach the correct documentation to invoices.</li><li>
Resolve queries with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.</li><li>
Respond to the queries received from internal staff and suppliers in a timely manner.</li><li>
Process staff expenses.</li><li>
Validate expenses submitted by staff to ensure these are reimbursed in a timely manner and are allocated to the correct cost centers.</li><li>
Validate supplier bank details and preparing IFT (intra-bank) and IBFT (inter-bank) payment files as required by HBL corporate portal.</li><li>
Deduct applicable Income Tax and Sales Tax from payments and deposit withheld amounts to the government treasury within stipulated timelines.</li><li>
Prepare and compile data for monthly and quarterly Sales Tax and Income Tax returns.</li><li>
Assist with OPM project audits and the year end audit</li><li>
Ensure that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures</li><li>
Adhere to the SLAs</li><li>
Work collaboratively with other teams.</li></ul>
Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills / Behaviours:
<ul><li>Experience in a similar role (minimum 3 years).</li><li>
Understanding of Procure to Pay (Accounts Payable), travel and expense processes, and payment run processes.</li><li>
Diploma in Accounting is desirable but not essential / Graduate.</li><li>
Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience highly desirable but not essential.</li><li>
Excellent numeracy.</li><li>
IT literacy.</li><li>
Strong ability in Excel and experience using other MS office applications.</li><li>
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>
