What you&rsquo;ll be responsible for:<ul><li>
Full-cycle legal billing (traditional + electronic)</li><li>
Applying client billing guidelines, rates, and fee structures</li><li>
Managing pre-bills, edits, transfers, and attorney follow-ups</li><li>
Monitoring e-billing platforms, resolving rejections, and tracking approvals</li><li>
Reconciling invoices and submissions within TABS</li><li>
Processing client payments and resolving account discrepancies</li><li>
Supporting collections efforts (statements, follow-ups, aging)</li><li>
Handling trust accounting transactions (deposits, wires, disbursements) in TABS</li><li>
Preparing weekly billing reports and forecasts for leadership</li><li>
Assisting with billing goals, reporting needs, and special projects</li></ul>
What you bring:<ul><li>
3&ndash;5 years of law firm billing experience (required)</li><li>
Experience with electronic billing platforms</li><li>
TABS3 experience strongly preferred</li><li>

Position Summary
The Medical Scribe/Clinical Documentation Specialist supports behavioral health providers by accurately documenting patient encounters, maintaining clinical records, and ensuring timely completion of documentation in compliance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines. This role improves provider efficiency and supports quality patient care in a nonprofit community mental health setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Accurately enter histories, assessments, treatment plans, diagnoses, and progress notes into the electronic health record (EHR).</li><li>
Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA and agency standards.</li><li>
Track unsigned notes, missing documentation, and authorization requirements.</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality of all individuals served and organizational information.</li><li>
Communicate professionally with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, nurses, and administrative staff.</li><li>
Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.</li><li>
Ensure documentation meets Medicaid, Medicare, and accreditation standards.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>

Job Description Summary:<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Position Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>
Provides support and supervision of the procedural staff to ensure patient load time of 0730 and turnaround time of 30 minutes or less.</li><li>
Assists Nurse Manager in organizing and directing activities of the assigned unit as indicated by the Nurse Director.</li><li>
Reports back to Nurse Manager status of all procedural colleagues whether they are developing in their role appropriately so that evaluations can be completed accurately on a probationary and annual basis.</li><li>
Supervises and establishes new guidelines for the utilization of supplies in procedural spaces to prevent waste.</li><li>
Provides education to all staff to ensure that all colleagues remain current with best practice and competencies.</li><li>
Interprets the philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the department to all employees, patients and families.</li><li>
Staff management to include recruitment, retention, coaching, training, evaluation and development, as well as preparation and delegation of work schedules and workflow. This also includes assigning of preceptor.</li><li>
Demonstrates good judgment and knowledge of department needs in classifying and maintaining data.</li><li>
Responsible for the unit/s in the absence of the Nurse Manager.</li><li>
Responsible for projects/processes that are essential to the success of the unit. (Charging processes, new hire orientation, maintain statistical data, time/attendance and QI).</li><li>

Actively participates and manages operations during emergency situations, including participation in disaster preparedness.</li><li>
Completes monthly schedules to ensure adequate staffing based on patient care, acuity, and workforce targets.</li><li>
Reviews, and approves time cards and makes timely edits in Kronos. Manages staffing on a regular basis.</li><li>
Assists the Nurse Manager &amp; Director in ensuring compliance with established HRS/JCAHO requirements.</li><li>
Supports the ongoing improvement of quality and performance metrics for nursing including, but not limited to core measures, hospital acquired infections, safety initiatives and the patient experience.</li><li>
Disseminates pertinent departmental information to staff as indicated.</li><li>
Organizes and presents 3 monthly staff meetings per calendar year. Holds a morning departmental huddle once per week.</li><li>
Meets with Nurse Manager daily to discuss pertinent information in the department so that it can be addressed appropriately. Meets with Nursing Director twice a week to discuss objectives for the department and the progress made towards those goals.</li><li>
Participates in weekend huddle call as assigned.</li><li>
Serves as a professional role model, coach, and resource for employees. Participates actively in Nursing and/or hospital committees and work groups and assists in the development and implementation of the units shared governance model.</li><li>
