 The Human Resources Department of Arnold &amp; Porter is seeking a Staff Recruiting Assistant to join its Washington, DC office. This role supports the staff recruiting team across the full recruitment lifecycle and plays a key part in ensuring an efficient, high-quality candidate experience.

 Key Responsibilities

   Prepare and distribute bi-weekly staff recruiting communications.
  </li>
  <li>
   Scan, upload, and maintain recruiting documents in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  </li>
  <li>
   Manage ATS records, including applicant dispositioning, check-ins, and merging duplicate files.
  </li>
  <li>
   Post and remove job openings internally and externally; create and maintain electronic recruiting files in iManage.
  </li>
  <li>
   Manage job postings on external recruiting platforms.
  </li>
  <li>
   Administer and track candidate diagnostic skills assessments.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain and update recruiting Smartsheets and tracking spreadsheets.
  </li>
  <li>
   Submit new hire and non-employee worker conflicts for processing and electronically file completed materials and clearance communications.
  </li>
  <li>
   Process non-employee workers and enter required data into the HRIS.
  </li>
  <li>
   Track and maintain records for all non-employee workers.
  </li>
  <li>
   Schedule and facilitate virtual and in-person interviews through the ATS.
  </li>
  <li>
   Greet and escort candidates for on-site interviews as needed.
  </li>

   Process invoices and expenses.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with Staff Appreciation Week, Service Awards, and other HR-sponsored events as needed.

   Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); experience with Smartsheet and ATS platforms preferred.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 The anticipated base salary for this position is $52,000 - $58,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

The CAO organization comprises more than 800 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, childcare, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.</p><p><br>
</p><p>This paid internship* is located in the IT Customer Solutions Department, House Information Resources (HIR), Office the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). HIR provides a wide range of technology services and support for the House. HIR employs several hundred people with a variety of skills including coding, design, telecommunications, emergency response, and online security.<br>

CAO-HIR is excited to provide a one-of-a-kind learning experience for an enthusiastic future technology specialist. This internship will offer the ability to (1) work on everything from computer hardware and software to mobile devices, and (2) contribute to meaningful and rewarding support programs in service of the House.
