At Summit Health&rsquo;s Behavioral Health &amp; Cognitive Therapy Center we employ high level Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat a wide variety of patient conditions including depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, health anxiety and more. We offer intensive clinical supervision and education to help our clinicians become certified in CBT within their first year. We provide both virtual and in-person treatment with a flexible work schedule that includes working from both home and the office.</p><p></p><p>
Candidates must have knowledge of evidence-based treatments for common mental disorders, familiarity with brief, structured intervention techniques (e.g. Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation) and a desire to become skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

<b>Position:</b> Controller II (Hybrid)
<br><br>
The Controller II is responsible for managing designated financial operations for budgeting, contract billings, purchasing, and administration.
<br><br>
<b>Location:</b> New York, NY 10020
<br><br>
<b>Minimum Qualifications:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required, with at least ten years of increasing not-for-profit experience in a multi-governmental contract arena.</li>
<li>Accounting major preferred; CPA a plus.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and conceptual skills and related supervisory experience required.</li>
<li>Knowledge and ability to use an in-house PC-based accounting system in a network environment, including ability to create, run, and verify reports.</li>
<li>Provide extensive supervision of grants and contract billings for government funding sources.</li>
<li>Expertise with Excel/Word is essential.</li>
<li>Capable of taking independent action and taking initiative to recommend and implement required improvements.</li>
<li>This position requires the ability to successfully manage multiple projects under deadlines.</li>
</ul>
<b>Controller II Principal Responsibilities:</b><br>
1. Manage designated staff in billing, budgeting, and purchasing functions.
<br>2. Manage all activities related to approximately $95M of government contracts and accounts receivable, including timely billing and preparation of billing matrix. Supervise Directors of Government Contracts
<br>3. Manage Purchasing function and serve as co-administrator for purchasing system. Supervise Purchasing Manager.
<br>4. Develop and coordinate the agency’s $100M+ operating and capital budget process, annually, before June 30th fiscal year-end.
<br>5. Administration of both VOA-GNY’s internal operating budget, as well as administration of extensive portfolio of funder budgets, primary NYC Department of Homeless Services and NYC Department of Health and Mental Health.
<br>6. Acts as liaison with NYC funders.
<br>7. Manage Financial Analysis, Audit, Billing and Budget department, analyze financial results, reports and make recommendations for operational improvements. Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses using agency produced financial reports and systems (including MIP, Microix). Explain variations and recommend steps for operational improvement. Ensure that all expenses are incurred in accordance with contract terms to eliminate non-allowable expenses.
<br>8. Interact and collaborate with key Human Resources and Employee Benefits staff, across all Programs
<br>9. Member of cash flow team and contributes to the weekly cash flow process.
<br>10. Preparation and submission of annual Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR).
<br>11. Manage other administrative functions, and special projects.
<br>12. Supervise assigned staff.

</b></p><p>The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Mercy University seeks a candidate for a full time position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences or Sociology beginning Fall 2026. This is a visiting, non-tenure track appointment for the 2026 to 2027 academic year, with a possibility of a one year extension.</p>
<p>
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Behavioral Science and Sociology and contribute to the development and delivery of curriculum within the program. The Visiting Faculty member will participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program initiatives and activities as appropriate. Instruction will occur primarily in person at the Manhattan and Bronx campuses, with some remote possibilities.</p>
