Providence Swedish Cancer Institute is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Clinician (PA/ARNP) to support our growing Colorectal Oncology program. This position plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to a complex oncology population, working in close partnership with internationally recognized colorectal surgeons and a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
About the Role:
In this role, the APC will support both inpatient and outpatient aspects of colorectal surgical oncology care. Responsibilities may include inpatient rounding, perioperative management, post-operative care, clinic follow-ups, care coordination, and patient education. The position offers strong physician collaboration, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in colorectal cancer care within one of the region&rsquo;s leading cancer programs.

Program Overview

The Advanced Care Partner Program creates a team-care structure to collaborate with PCPs who are managing complex patient panels.

The ACP &quot;care team&quot; model pairs a highly clinically experienced provider (ACP) with a PCP to collaborate closely by sharing the care and continuity management of the patient panel. The PCP's task queue provides the focus of this collaborative platform whereby the Advanced Care Partner devotes their work to keeping all categories within SLAs, provides real time responses to patient messages, follows up with chronic care monitoring and management, and intimately understands the patient panel &quot;as their own&quot;, such that complex patients are known well, medical issues are managed efficiently, highest quality conversations engage patients' trust, and continuity of care between the patient and two providers is seamless and exemplary. Further, the ACP care-team model promotes career-sustainability, mitigates the potential for decision fatigue, prevents practice isolation, and addresses burn-out risk factors. The program prioritizes well-being and belonging for both patients and PCPs.

Advanced Care Partner Role:

The Advanced Care Partner is a full-time, remote clinician who works business hours live online with a team of PCP peers, a clinical supervisor, and the Clinical Case Management team of Care Navigators and nurses, as needed, for highly complex cases. The ACP will partner with approximately 5 PCPs and their patient panels, owning these shared panels with longitudinal accountability over time.

The ACP is responsible for maintaining task category SLAs, including but not limited to:

<li>Answering clinical questions from patients and engaging in clinical dialogue to complete these conversations.</li>
<li>Clinical decision-making resulting from information coming from messages, lab results, and consults.</li>
<li>Owning medication changes, titrations, and adjustments for chronic conditions as needed.</li>
<li>Providing video visits and phone follow-up care as needed.</li>
<li>Completing clinical paperwork such as disability, FMLA, home health sign-offs.</li>
<li>Attention to closing patient care gaps, creating orders and follow up as needed</li>

<li>Referrals to and collaboration with Clinical Case Management.</li>

Leadership &amp; Strategy
<ul>
<li>Develop and own the clinical informatics strategy and contribute to UW Medicine&rsquo;s IT and digital health strategies and approach.</li>
<li>Develop close relationships and collaborate with the Chief Medical Officers, Chief Nursing Officers, clinical leaders, operational executives, other leaders involved in innovation initiatives, Chief Information Officer, and peers within IT Services.</li>
<li>Participate in the development and evolution of an enterprise-wide strategy and vision in the area of AI and innovation.</li>
<li>Mentor, develop, lead and delegate goals and tasks to the physician and nursing informaticist leaders and teams.</li>
<li>Understand the market and be involved and a thought leader in national vendor, informatics, and academic forums, representing UW Medicine externally.</li>
</ul>
Clinical Practice
<ul>
<li>Maintain an active clinical practice (typically 10&ndash;20% FTE) within UW Medicine to remain grounded in frontline care and workflows.</li>
<li>Use clinical experience to inform system design and prioritization.</li>
<li>Clinical practice should provide firsthand insight into system usability and clinician needs.
</li></ul>Reporting Relationships
<ul>
<li>Position reports with a solid line to the CIO and a dotted line to the enterprise CMO.
</li><li>Three (3) Associate CHIO positions report directly to the CHIO covering the areas of inpatient, ambulatory, and nursing informatics.
</li><li>There are 8 partially funded Assistant CHIO positions, from 0.10 to 0.20 FTE, spread across key clinical departments.</li>
<li>Additionally, there are approximately 35 Informaticists and 32 Training/User Adoption staff.</li>

Faculty Appointment

The CHIO position is a full-time position that will have a faculty appointment in one of the UWSOM departments appropriate for background and experience. This position is not eligible for tenure. This position will also have a small portion of time dedicated to clinical effort. This is a 12-month service period position (July &ndash; June) with an anticipated start date in Fall 2026. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The base salary range for this position will be $21,667 to 41,667 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include administrative salary supplement and allowances.

Qualifications</h4>

Required Qualifcations
<ul>
<li>MD or DO with board certification in a clinical specialty.</li>
<li>Eligible for or holding Washington State medical licensure.</li>
<li>Extensive experience in leading clinical informatics teams within a complex health system.</li>
<li>Deep working knowledge of Epic EHR, including optimization, governance, and clinical workflows.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to lead change, build consensus, and influence without authority.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with clinicians, executives, and technical teams.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Formal training in informatics (e.g., Clinical Informatics board certification, master&rsquo;s degree, or fellowship).</li>
<li>Experience in an academic medical center or research-intensive health system.</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership in AI-enabled clinical tools or digital health innovation.</li>
<li>Record of improving clinician experience, quality, or operational performance through informatics.</li>
<li>Experience supporting teaching, research, and population health initiatives.</li>

988 Crisis Services provides free, confidential, telephone-based crisis support across King County and Washington State. Our mission is to foster resilience and wellbeing by connecting people to compassionate, accessible care - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Overnight clinicians play a critical leadership role, ensuring safety and continuity of care during the most vulnerable hours. 
Position Summary
The Crisis Services Clinician (988) is a qualified Mental Health Professional who oversees 988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline contacts via phone, chat, and text. This role provides advanced risk assessment, clinical decision-making, and real-time consultation while supervising a multidisciplinary overnight team of clinical and paraprofessional staff.
Graveyard clinicians are relied upon for strong judgment, calm leadership, and confident decision-making during high-acuity situations.

Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Provide direct clinical oversight and support to Crisis Specialists and Crisis Intervention Specialists during scheduled overnight shifts</li><li>
Support staff with suicide risk assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention</li><li>
Ensure appropriate linkage to Mobile Crisis Teams, Designated Crisis Responders, Next Day Appointments, and other community resources</li><li>
Provide real-time coaching, consultation, and feedback to staff</li><li>
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all 988 program standards, policies, and procedures</li><li>
Promote a professional, respectful, and supportive virtual team environment</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field</li><li>
Mental Health Professional (MHP) status as defined by Washington State</li><li>
Active Washington State credential or license, including:
