 Demonstrates an ability to recognize specialty needs and anticipate preparation and follow-up i.e. CJD, MH, Airborne-TB, Latex sensitivity and Laser cases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrates the ability to assist with endotracheal intubation and extubation procedures during routine and emergency procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs inventory; orders and restocks anesthesia medications, trays and supplies; restocks anesthesia carts according to established protocol; cleans and restocks anesthesia machines, cart, supply rooms, shelves, and refrigerators as required; transports anesthesia equipment/supplies to other departments as needed.

 Ensures clean to dirty sanitation/containment and standard infection control precautions and professional performance. This includes but not limited to: vigilant sterile technique and care with invasive lines, facilitate/assist anesthesiologist in following CDC guidelines for Central Line Placement-Deterring CRBSI Catheter-related blood stream infections, disinfection and high level disinfection of semi-critical items and care of flexible scopes and specialty instrumentation.

 Actively participates in Quality Assurance and associated documentation.

Under the general supervision of the Cath Lab Manager/Designee and the general direction of the medical staff the Cardiac Cath Lab Lead Technician is responsible for professional patient care and related assistance to patients experiencing cardiac intervention upon admission to the department. The Cath Lab Technician Lead utilizes the patient care process in ensuring safe and competent quality patient care. The Cath Lab Lead Technician in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory supports the medical care of all patient requiring any cardiac or peripheral intervention under the direction of the medical staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the hospital. This person ensures a safe environment for the patient and others, appropriately communicates with physicians, co-workers, volunteers, other hospital departments and patient family members. The Cath Lab Technician lead acts to provide care in a competent, effective and cost effective manner.

 We are searching for an Anesthesia Technician I -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. In this role they contribute to safe and efficient anesthesia care. They provide support to anesthesia in routine and complex surgical cases. Provide service by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.

 Performs and/or assists with procedures. Assists anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors. Assists with induction by connecting patient to monitors. Assists with intubation. Assists with the maintenance of patient&rsquo;s airway. Assists with the insertion of IVs and other invasive lines. Assists anesthesiologist during outside cases. Assists and anticipates needs of anesthesiologist in invasive monitor insertion and procedures such as arterial access, central venous access, fiberoptic intubation and/or difficult airway situations. Provides support to the patient care team throughout the case. Performs salvaged blood processing per protocol, as required by Department when needed. Assists anesthesiologist with volume infusions as directed during intraoperative procedures.

 Prepares and sets up equipment. Prepares age-appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway. Prepares IV, arterial line, fluid/blood warmer and CVP setups. Prepares and assembles transducer lines and equipment necessary for invasive monitoring. Prepares age appropriate equipment for fiber optic intubation. Provides troubleshooting to correct equipment problems. Performs complete standard Anesthesia Apparatus checkout. Assists with maintaining and evaluating anesthesia related equipment. Evaluates, prepares, and sets up equipment needed to perform out of department anesthesia procedures.

 Conducts other patient-related procedures. Sets up, maintains and transports specialty devices used in the clinical area. Transports patients from monitored beds to OR. Trouble-shoots and corrects monitoring equipment problems. Responds immediately to OR room calls that require assistance regarding supplies, pharmaceuticals, blood products, forms equipment or other items required during the surgical procedure. Assists in the preparation and draping of patient invasive monitoring/procedures. Cleans room and restocks anesthesia machine prior to the patient entering the room. Stocks the operating rooms, specialty carts, anesthesia carts, equipment rooms and remote anesthesia areas with disposable/reusable supplies used by anesthesia.

The Department of Anesthesiology is recruiting for a faculty Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Texas Children's Hospital to administer anesthesia to pediatric patients. CRNAs assist in perioperative patient management, including the performance of preoperative anesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia, postoperative anesthesia care, and respond to emergency/code situations when warranted.

Job Duties</h2></div><div><ul><li>
Administers all forms of anesthesia including inhaled, intravenous, neuraxial, and regional, for surgical or medical procedures.</li><li>
Assesses and evaluates patients prior to the administration of anesthesia in order to formulate anesthetic plan.</li><li>
Inserts and uses invasive and noninvasive monitors, as indicated.</li><li>
Responds to emergency/code situations in order to provide airway management.</li><li>
Documents anesthetic information and patient condition.</li><li>
May supervise or provide direction to student registered nurse anesthetists.</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications</h2></div><div><ul><li>
Education Required: Master&rsquo;s degree in in Nursing.</li><li>
Experience Required: None required.</li><li>

Current Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.</li></ul></div></div></div>
