The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the vital work of maintaining diagnostic tools, which directly influences patient health and well-being.
This position reports to the Field Service Manager and is part of the Field Service team located in North Central New Jersey and will be fully remote covering a service territory around Clifton, Elizabeth, Newark, and surrounding areas.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:<ul><li>
Work independently, handle troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs of Beckman Coulter equipment, including providing excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter&rsquo;s customers, along with technical training on products.</li><li>
Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times. Utilize business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.</li><li>
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their requirements, while also helping train newer Field Service Engineers.</li></ul>
The essential requirements of the job include:<ul><li>
Associate degree or equivalent military experience (Applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis)</li><li>
At least 1year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation (senior engineers encouraged to apply to be considered at a higher level).</li></ul>
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record &amp; Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role<ul><li>
Ability to travel Monday-Friday within assigned territory.</li><li>
Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license with an acceptable driving record.</li><li>
Ability to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.). Candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time. Candidates must also be able to reach, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, have good hand, and finger dexterity.</li></ul>
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:<ul><li>
A technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related</li><li>
2+ years&rsquo; experience of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications and/or service repair.</li><li>
Developing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, leading to increased customer satisfaction, and supporting long-term retention</li></ul>

The hourly range for this role is $40-45/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
