About the Role 
 
The Creative Studio Assistant Editor is a full-time position responsible for assisting in the post production of the Creative Studio's sponsored content. This role centers around organizing production media, preparing it for editing, conforming edits for finishing, as well as exporting final deliverables. Assistant Editors also have opportunities for editing shorts, sizzles, and other ancillary content to be released on Big Think, as well as partner platforms across the web. This is a role for someone who is passionate about workflow and organization, with experience in editing short-form social videos.
What You&rsquo;ll Do:
Assistant Editor Responsibilities<ul><li>
Ingest, transcode, organize, log, and label the footage from productions</li><li>

 CNN is seeking a multi-talented and resourceful journalist with the ability to break news and a keen interest in and understanding of politics and government to join our White House reporting team.&nbsp;
 
 
 The job will demand reporting and producing in a high-pressure environment, as well as conceptualizing digital&nbsp;videos and utilizing other innovative storytelling formats&nbsp;to deliver news coverage and scoops&nbsp;regarding the president and his administration. It will also require significant organizational and coordination skills to help keep our team on top of the president&rsquo;s demanding schedule such that we meet the demands that come with a 24-7 TV and digital news operation.&nbsp;One hour, you might be rapidly writing breaking news posts and asking questions of White House spokespeople; the next, you might be identifying critical moments from a foreign leader meeting for a vertical video. You will also have to produce live shots, coordinate with photojournalists and manage requests from show producers.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 
 The ideal candidate will be creative and unfailingly collegial, with a demonstrated track record of reporting and writing under deadline and delivering copy cleanly and rapidly. Being able to conceptualize, shoot and edit video is also key.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 The position requires significant and&nbsp;regular&nbsp;collaboration with White House teammates and&nbsp;reporters from other&nbsp;beats.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Your Role Accountabilities&hellip;

 Reports, research, writes and own all stages of assigned stories from short Live Story posts to fully formed published stories and everything in between across all platforms
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Conceptualizes and help produce digital&nbsp;videos for multiple platforms and work with others to utilize innovative storytelling formats
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Utilize strong editorial judgment to quickly and effectively frame and headline news items for maximum impact
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Develop&nbsp;sourcing of government officials and external players, both for reporting and logistical matters&nbsp;
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Advise&nbsp;editors and planning teams on key storylines and events for coverage consideration&nbsp;
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Be responsible for writing stories/alerts/Live story posts as assigned by&nbsp;editor
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Produce live segments, both in the field, studio or from remote network locations
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Provide editorial coverage for pool responsibilities, and assist with TV crew for network coverage needs

 Demonstrate a sense of urgency in pursuing breaking news stories and delivering updates in real-time

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery&rsquo;s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $63,000.00 - $117,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
