Components of the new guest experience will include a state-of-the-art pavilion entrance, auditorium, iconic photo gallery, exhibition space, immersive walk-through attraction, retail, food and beverage, education center, archives, tours, public programming and exciting new event space. 
 
How You&rsquo;ll Contribute 
 
The Business Strategy and Performance team is responsible for creating the overall business strategy of all revenue streams on campus that meet or exceed gross and net revenue targets across all business lines including, but not limited to ticketing sales, tours group sales, food and beverage, retail, event rentals, and event programming. 
 
The Social Content Producer is the visual storyteller and technical engine behind the National Geographic Museum of Exploration&rsquo;s digital presence. This is a highly mobile, creative, and technical role designed for someone who lives behind a lens and inside an editing suite. 
 
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content &amp; Creative, this role will work closely with the Social Media Manager who focuses on strategy and community management, the Producer is the &quot;boots on the ground&quot; creator. This role is responsible for capturing the magic of our exhibitions, events, and behind-the-scenes discoveries, then transforming that raw footage into high-performing, platform-optimized assets.

Salary Information
The National Geographic Society offers a competitive and holistic total rewards package. Our compensation structure and transparent pay philosophy are based on industry-specific market data for similar-sized nonprofit organizations.
The salary range for this position accounts for a wide range of factors including but not limited to organizational need; specific skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and more. At the National Geographic Society, individuals are typically hired at or near the starting point of the salary range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
The salary range for this position is $80,750.00 - $85,000.00.

The Director, Digital Content is responsible for elevating EEI&rsquo;s visual presence across digital and social media platforms by developing high-impact creative content that drives audience engagement, grows digital reach, and advances EEI&rsquo;s communications objectives. Reporting to the Managing Director, Creative Strategy, this individual will collaborate closely with EEI&rsquo;s communications and creative services teams to ensure creative output is visually compelling, on-brand, and on-message. This is a role for a creative leader who thinks in content, understands what makes audiences stop scrolling, and brings a modern, digitally native sensibility to a mission-driven organization.

<ul><li>Work closely with creative leadership to develop and execute EEI&rsquo;s visual content strategy across social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and emerging channels, with a focus on driving engagement, growing audiences, and increasing click-through rates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>Candidates should have a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
</li><li>A minimum of 10 years of progressive or equivalent experience in creative design and content strategy for the Director level OR a minimum of 12 years of progressive or equivalent experience for the Senior Director level.
</li><li>Demonstrated experience in a public relations, communications, or advocacy agency environment, with a portfolio that demonstrates measurable impact on digital and social media engagement.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and working knowledge with video editing and motion graphics tools.</li>
<li>Deep expertise in social media content strategy across major platforms, with a strong understanding of what drives engagement, virality, and audience growth in a policy or advocacy context.</li>

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role at the Director level is $130,000-$175,000. If hired at the Senior Director role, the salary range is $160,000-210,000.
