<div><div><div>The Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is a cabinet-level agency within the District of Columbia government, committed to the safety, permanence, and well-being of children and families residing in the District of Columbia. Charged with protecting child victims and those at risk of abuse and neglect, CFSA fosters collaborations within its administrations to deliver exceptional family-focused services to the community and its residents.
This is a standard position description that can be used in the Office of Hotline and Investigation (OHI) in the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA). The Supervisory Social Worker is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of social workers and support staff members providing direct professional social work services to children and families in the areas of abuse and neglect. The work impacts the agency&rsquo;s mission of providing services and contributes to the overall efficiency of the operations and service delivery program.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Supervisory Social Worker duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Plans, organizes, supervises, and administers the work of the immediate reports.</li><li>
Assigns cases to social workers and monitors service delivery to ensure compliance with statutory guidelines, regulations, and CFSA policies and procedures, to effect remediation of child abuse and neglect problems. Coordinates and monitors the allocation of services, incentives, and resources.</li><li>
Develop and implement an overall case management work plan consistent with Program objectives to plan and evaluate daily operations.</li><li>
Develop regular and special statistical, qualitative, and quantitative reports, that assess casework and other child and family-related data.</li><li>
Maintains the court-mandated Social Worker caseload ratio utilization and quality of services.</li><li>
Performs a full range of supervisory functions including: assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinate staff; administers leave and attendance; evaluates staff performance; recommends hiring, promotions, status changes, awards, disciplinary actions, and terminations; plans, schedules, and coordinates work operations to achieve the optimal combination of employees and assignments; addresses issues or problems related to work operations; negotiates and troubleshoots employee concerns, grievances, and other matters involved in the daily administration of labor-management concerns; provides coaching; guides immediate reports in the implementation of performance standards; addresses disciplinary problems; provides governance over staff development and training plans.</li><li>
Monitors and supports the Social Worker's court activities; attends court hearings, administrative reviews, and other meetings to provide information and guidance.</li><li>
Completes field- and community-based supervision and investigative tasks as needed, based on staffing availability and management circumstances that can arise based on the timing and circumstances of referrals. Work is primarily office-based but some tasks will require visiting the community.</li><li>
Attends professional meetings and seminars to keep abreast of most recent social work advances.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and practices of social work to supervise social workers and/or provide direct social services to individuals and families.</li><li>
Comprehensive knowledge of related psychiatric, psychological, and medical practices used in the evaluation and treatment of children and families.</li><li>
Comprehensive knowledge of human behavior dynamics; demonstrable sensitivity to cultural diversity, age, and religious differences affecting child rearing, family and kinship patterns, attitudes about illness, medical care, and communication patterns to supervise social workers developing case plans, providing counseling, and conducting home visits and investigations.</li><li>
Knowledge of pertinent resources, legal status, and related policies and procedures that affect children and families; knowledge of the structure, function, and mission of the Child and Family Services Agency, to supervise social work consistent with established goals and objectives.</li><li>
Comprehensive knowledge of CFSA rules, regulations, administrative policies, procedures, programs, and overall operations and the ability to apply that knowledge and work experience to specific work situations.</li><li>
Demonstrable ability to: develop and manage staff; effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide excellent customer service; manage in a fast-paced environment while providing comprehensive clinical guidance to staff under your supervision.</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to make oral presentations, and write policies and procedures.</li><li>

 Education
A Master of Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required.
One (1) year of supervisory experience in Child Protective Services is highly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
Must be a current DC Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to practice social work in the District of Columbia.
A valid District of Columbia driver&rsquo;s license or its state equivalent is required.

 Working Conditions
 
 
 
 
 
 
 On the whole, this is a hybrid, office-based role. A Social Media Manager will spend time in meetings and briefings. Occasional travel might be required for client visits and planning.&nbsp;This position is considered sedentary to light work, and employees are not required to lift or move heavy objects.&nbsp;Although a Social Media Manager's commitment will tend to be standard office hours, deadlines or the demands of a client may see the Manager working nights or weekends to ensure continued success. This position will be based in our Washington, D.C. office (hybrid).The Administrative Project Coordinator provides high-level, concierge-style assigned or project-based support to attorneys, Global Directors and Assistant Directors. Responsibilities include handling administrative tasks, coordinating travel arrangements, handling document management, supporting business development efforts and executing other complex tasks and projects.  Administrative Tasks

 Performs various, complex assignments while under time-sensitive deadlines.

 <li>
 Coordinates complex travel requests including, but not limited to, the procurement of visa-related materials and passport renewal applications.

 Troubleshoots software and hardware concerns for attorneys, in consultation with technology business services professionals.

 Assists with document management and records retention for administrative files.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develops project strategies to ensure efficient completion of tasks.

 Consults with the Firm's internal business services departments and professionals at all levels to verify the accuracy of completed work.
