Their daughter will be entering 7th grade and is a competitive horseback rider who travels frequently for competitions. Their son will be entering 2nd grade and has severe ADHD. He is typically not medicated on weekends. He is bright, sensitive, and very active, and thrives with a caregiver who is both loving and firm. He can sometimes resist transitions or tasks, so the family is seeking someone patient who can provide structure and clear boundaries while gently encouraging him to stay on track in a positive and supportive way. The primary focus of the role will be their son, though the nanny will occasionally assist with their daughter when Mom is spending time with him or managing other activities. 
 
Weekends in this household are busy, and the nanny will often tag-team with Mom to ensure both children can get where they need to be. Their son participates in activities such as indoor climbing, Code Ninjas, fencing, soccer, and Cub Scouts, and the nanny should be comfortable accompanying him to activities and participating in Cub Scout outings beginning in the fall. The role includes morning and afternoon/evening support during the school week. Both children are typically at school by 8:00 AM. The time between dropping off the kids and 9:30am will be spent tidying the home/straightening up. The nanny will then return in the afternoon, generally from 1:30/2:00 PM&ndash;7:30 PM, to handle school pickups, drive the children to activities, prepare dinner, assist with homework and pre-bedtime routines, and help keep the afternoon and evening running smoothly. The parents maintain a relaxed and respectful work-from-home environment. Dad works from home part time, and Mom is a stay-at-home parent. The nanny must be comfortable working in a home where parents may be present but are not micromanaging and are typically focused on their own responsibilities. The nanny will often work collaboratively with Mom to ensure the children&rsquo;s schedules run smoothly. 
 
The family has a full household that includes three dogs and three cats. While the family has dog walkers and daycare in place, the nanny should be comfortable around pets and willing to help occasionally if needed. All three are at the same school until 3 PM. Nanny will be responsible for picking the children up from school, as well as driving to activities and managing the after-school activity calendar. The family can provide a car if needed for the right candidate. Must have a clean driving record! They have a housekeeper who handles deep cleaning. Meal prep, household organization and management, and kids' laundry are part of the nanny's duties.
Primary hours are 12 PM - 8 PM Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week guaranteed. The nanny would be needed on a full-day basis when children are sick or on some school vacations (eligible for overtime). Travel with the family is optional.
