Job Summary</b></p><p>
Supervises one of the functional areas within fire protection (Operations, Training and/or Prevention). Plans, develops, reviews, implements and evaluates department policy.  Purpose of the Role

 As the Head of Engineering &amp; Construction, you will lead the owner&rsquo;s engineering and construction function for Svante Development Inc. (&ldquo;DevCo&rdquo;), ensuring the successful technical design and delivery of major carbon‑capture capital projects. You will oversee project execution across pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC(M) stages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining full technical integrity.

You will play a key role in bridging commercial and technical considerations, particularly for first‑of‑a‑kind deployments of Svante&rsquo;s carbon‑capture technologies.

   You have 15+ years of engineering and construction experience in project‑based industries such as carbon capture, renewable energy, oil &amp; gas, or large industrial capital projects.

   You have a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience).
  </li>
  <li>
   You bring strong experience across pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC(M) delivery, including working with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) models.
  </li>
  <li>
   You have strong commercial acumen with proven ability to navigate capital budgeting, contracting strategies, risk management, and complex negotiations.
  </li>
  <li>
   You have excellent communication skills and experience engaging customers, vendors, regulators, investors, host communities, and Indigenous communities.
