Overview:

The Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric (NPP) will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to an existing and growing panel of patients for Housing Works. 


Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator.
 
 
We are seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented Research Coordinator to join our dynamic human neuroscience laboratory. The candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, neuroscientists, engineers, and data scientists to describe the underpinnings of human episodic memory function and its dysfunction and translating these findings for patient benefit. Our research combines naturalistic memory behaviors with direct recordings from the human brain at the single unit and local population level. We primarily work with epilepsy patients in the surgical inpatient setting as well as patients with implanted chronic brain recordings (RNS, NeuroPace Inc.). Some of the research tools we use are eye-tracking, pupillometry, head movements, first- and third-person video, GPS precision, speech analysis, and micro-macro wire recordings. Our lab collaborates with basic, cognitive, and computational neuroscientists on a shared mission to translate basic and cognitive neuroscience insights to improve human memory health. 
The ideal candidate will carry out all administrative and patient-facing activities (recruitment, consent, and data collection) without direction. S/he will contribute intellectually and socially to the lab culture and pursue their own independent scientific project within the lab.

 What You’ll Do
 We’re looking for a Child Care Clinical Coordinator to work with the Therapeutic Childcare and Recreation programs at HELP Haven, a transitional housing shelter for victims of domestic violence. This is a fabulous opportunity for a recent MSW graduate interested in working with children in a therapeutic setting. You’ll be responsible for completing psychosocial assessments and providing mental health counseling and crisis intervention services to children and their families.
 
Your responsibilities will include: 
<ul>
<li>Collaborating with the Child Care and Recreation Teams to develop and implement therapeutic models in both programs.</li>
<li>Collaborating with other departments at Haven to facilitate communication and provision of mental health services and to ensure positive outcomes for families.</li>
<li>Serving as liaison to advocate for and assist families with negotiation of the service delivery system, ensuring receipt of appropriate clinical, developmental, academic, and other relevant services.</li>
<li>Providing information and referral services to residents as needed.</li>
<li>Developing and facilitating therapeutic groups and workshops for residents to better support their emotional well-being.</li>
<li>Participating in weekly team meetings, individual supervision, group supervision, client case conferences, and other meetings as requested.</li>
</ul>
You’re a great fit for this role if you have: 
<ul>
<li>To be considered for this role, you must be currently registered as an LMSW or LMHC or have an MSW and become registered as an LMSW within 3 months.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of trauma-informed and trauma-responsive practice and an ability to translate knowledge about trauma-informed work into practice in a Child-Care and Recreation setting.</li>
<li>Experience navigating specific systems impacting children such as Early Intervention, Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), and Committee on Special Education (CSE).</li>
<li>Physical ability to work with children in a variety of settings.</li>
<li>Experience facilitating support groups and workshops.</li>
<li>Willing to obtain SIFI certification (in order to supervise interns).</li>
<li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus.</li>
<li>Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.</li>
</ul>
Compensation
 Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage, prevailing wage, or exempt salary requirements under federal, state and local laws.
