In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision, coordination, and assurance of comprehensive nursing care using nursing process and pertinent standards of care, the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions, and performance of therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures of the designated inpatient or outpatient patient population within a collaborative practice agreement established with a specific physician on the staff of NYU Hospitals Center

<li>Orders customary laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies per practice protocols, differentiates between normal/abnormal findings and follows protocols for abnormal findings, which may include referral to consulting physicians per customary pattern of the attending MD or with the collaborating physician.</li>
<li>Performs complete health history, physical examination and psychosocial assessment of patients within the designated practice or clinical unit.</li>
<li>Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.</li>
<li>Participates in designated activities related to professional nursing standards and regulations of relevant outside agencies.</li>
<li>Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of responsibilities.</li>
<li>Facilitates the continuity of care across the continuum of services, e.g. home care, other facilities, appointments with MDs etc.</li>
<li>Provides consultation about the therapeutic regimen to the nursing staff responsible for the patients care in the hospital setting.</li>

<li>Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team including the attending physician to develop and implement the therapeutic plan of care for a group of patients and ensure communication with family members.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have:

<li>Licensure: Current registration as Professional Nurse in New York and Registration as Nurse Practitioner in New York.</li>
<li>Education: Master's Degree in Nursing.</li>
<li>Certification required (as soon as feasible following graduation from NP graduate program) by ANCC or Board Certification from other specialty organization that certifies Nurse Practitioners in a clinical area of practice.</li>
<li>Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.. 
 
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS, Nurse Practitioner-NYS, Basic Life Support Cert</li>

Preferred Qualifications: 
Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS, PALS) through the American Heart Association or Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics may be required based on your selected privileges.
 
At least five years of clinical nursing practice in the care of the patient population served; ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion, which addresses patient/family safety and satisfaction. Position Summary

Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Department of Medicine, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work in the inpatient setting within the Division of Cardiology. The selected candidate will join a progressive NP group to care for patients with advanced cardiac illnesses, on our telemetry ward.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>The Nurse Practitioner will manage a diverse group of cardiac patients predominantly with Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant.</li>
<li>The NP will render direct patient care including but not limited to obtaining patients' history, performing comprehensive and targeted physical examinations, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, and diagnosing/managing chronic as well as acute care problems from admission through discharge.</li>
<li>The NP will also be responsible for counseling and educating patients and their caregivers on disease processes and care management.</li>
<li>The NP will collaborate and meet with the multidisciplinary team to address quality care initiatives and length of stay.</li>
<li>The NP is required to document all patient/caregiver encounters in the EMR.</li>

Senior Nursing Attendant Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Required. <div>The Manager, Clinical Quality Data Validation &amp; Governance provides strategic and operational leadership for HEDIS clinical data validation, supplemental data governance, and quality reporting activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, compliance, and audit readiness of clinical data used for NCQA, CMS, state, and organizational reporting requirements. The Manager leads a team of Clinical Quality Specialists and partners with Clinical IT, Enterprise Delivery Services, DSE, and Operations teams to drive regulatory performance, data quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position follows a hybrid work model consisting of remote and office-based work. Office location: 100 Church Street, New York, NY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Strategy, Governance &amp; Compliance</h3><ul><li>
Leads governance and oversight of HEDIS clinical supplemental data sources, clinical data validation, medical record review, and supplemental data processes.</li><li>
Establishes and maintains data quality standards, validation controls, and audit readiness processes.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with NCQA, CMS, state, and organizational requirements.</li><li>
Identifies and mitigate data quality, compliance, and reporting risks.</li><li>
Supports HEDIS audits, supplemental data reviews, and regulatory reporting activities.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Operations &amp; Performance Management</h3><ul><li>
Oversees clinical data validation, abstraction, and quality assurance activities.</li><li>
Monitors productivity, accuracy, quality metrics, and reporting deadlines.</li><li>
Investigates and resolves data discrepancies, documentation gaps, and operational issues.</li><li>
Develops and maintains operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.</li><li>
Manages relationships with vendors, provider organizations, and delegated entities.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Team Leadership</h3><ul><li>
Supervises, coaches, and develops Clinical Quality Specialists and related staff.</li><li>
Manages hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and workforce planning activities.</li><li>

Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Collaboration</h3><ul><li>

Minimum Qualifications:<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Education</h3><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Informatics, or a related field required from an accredited institution.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Experience</h3><ul><li>
Five (5) years of experience in healthcare quality, HEDIS operations, clinical data validation, healthcare analytics, or quality improvement.</li><li>
Two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>
Strong knowledge of NCQA HEDIS, supplemental data standards, STAR, QARR, and regulatory reporting requirements.</li><li>
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, clinical documentation standards, and medical terminology.</li><li>
Experience with EMRs, healthcare databases, and reporting tools.</li><li>
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience in Managed Care, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or Health Insurance.</li><li>
Experience leading HEDIS operations, data validation, quality reporting, or audit activities.</li><li>
CPHQ, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, PMP, or similar professional certification preferred.</li></ul>

Hiring Range*:<ul><li>
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $103,400 - $149,430</li><li>
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $88,700 - $131,920</li></ul>
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
