As a Clinical Research Coordinator and participant in the Fred Hutch ASCEND program, employees will engage in a two-year commitment to work as a Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC) in a paid training and mentorship program.</div><div></div><div> 
The Clinical Research Coordinator ASCEND Trainee is primarily responsible for ensuring that all administrative and clinical aspects of a study are completed in a timely and compliant manner. This role also ensures that all study related communication and education activities are completed efficiently and effectively. In addition to gaining work experience, participants will learn more about clinical research careers, providing them with the option to remain in the clinical research support pipeline. For participants who wish to pursue higher education, in Year 2 of the program they will have additional support to help navigate the graduate/medical school application process through seminars, rotations, and career mentorship.</div><div></div><div> 
The Hutch Advance initiative is a cross-divisional effort designed to foster critical research-adjacent careers in technical and administrative areas at Fred Hutch. It addresses broad workforce needs by fostering awareness of wide range of careers and by creating intentionally designed pathways of opportunity for young people. Responsibilities:

Participant Coordination &amp; Clinical Support</div><ul><li>
Review study candidates&rsquo; medical records in detail for study eligibility</li><li>
Initiate scheduling of participant clinic visits and ongoing study visits; attend participant visits as needed to ensure clinical procedures, lab tests, and other protocol-specific activities are completed as outlined</li><li>
Ensure study drug self-administration and accountability with patients, perform non-clinical ECGs, administer study questionnaires, and other protocol-driven non-clinical assessments</li><li>
Serve as liaison for Investigational Drug Services (IDS) on drug assignment, dispensation information, and maintain regular communication regarding participant status</li><li>

 Clinical Research Coordinator
 
 helps to organize and carry out day-to-day operations and administrative functions of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored human subjects clinical trials. This individual will work under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, Clinical Research Nurse or Clinical Research Manager and will be required to perform his/her responsibilities with limited degree of independence within the scope of study protocol(s) and institutional policies and guidelines.

 Provide day-to-day coordination of Hematopoietic Disease Repository, which include identifying potential subjects, tracking participants during their care, reviewing and extracting data from medical records, entering extracted data into data management system, and interacting closely with internal and external investigators who acquire resources from the repository.

 Work in collaboration with principal investigator and study staff to ensure protocol-required activities are performed in an efficient and optimal manner.

Reporting to the Clinical Associate Professor, the Research Coordinator will help coordinate the activities of several funded projects, at various stages of study launch, data collection, data analyses, and dissemination of findings. Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $119,088 - $178,774 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.
