Clinical Research Coordinator I will perform delegated duties such as protocol required visit procedures, administering questionnaires and subject material, administering, and dispensing medication, adhering to regulatory guidelines, and participating in subject recruitment efforts, under the oversight of the study Principal Investigator. The Clinical Research Coordinator needs to engage with the Principal Investigators, pharmaceutical companies (Sponsors) and contract research organizations (monitors) as well as the research subjects.
 
Responsibilities include:

<li>Read and understand assigned research protocols. Prescreen patients. Train site staff on study purpose, record attendance. Evaluate resources needed and on-hand to appropriately deploy the study.</li>
<li>Drive enrollment to meet contractual targets: Using the EMR, screen for eligible patients for discussion and qualification by the Principal Investigator. Obtain and document informed consent per ICH/GCP and site SOPs. Timely, clean data entry according to ALCOA principle (“Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original and Accurate”).</li>
<li>Prepare for monitoring visits: All Source Documents organized and readily available. All outstanding items from prior monitoring visit are resolved. No open queries from prior visit. Temperature and accountability logs readily available.</li>
<li>Ongoing Study oversight and management: Plan subject visits according to protocol specific visit schedule. No protocol deviations due to out of window procedures. Communication with location administration to make sure space and other resources are available as needed. Reporting of Adverse and Serious Adverse Events to IRB and Sponsor in accordance with reporting guidelines. Dispensing/collecting study medication and providing accurate Investigational Product accountability. Collecting and processing subject laboratory specimens according to protocol. Completing case report forms (CRFs) and other patient tracking information (either electronic or manual) accurately and on a timely basis as assigned. Maintaining a thorough understanding of all data collection instruments and collecting data accurately and according to protocol.</li>

Qualifications:

Clinical Research Coordinator in South Houston, Texas

<div>The Neurosurgery department has developed a world-class clinical program to manage all aspects of neurosurgical oncology, including complex brain and skull base tumors, spinal tumors, and intractable, cancer-related pain disorders. We work to discover new imaging and surgical techniques and methods to effectively treat and manage pain. The goal of our research is to improve survival rates and quality of life for our patients.
 
 
Summary 
The Senior Research Assistant applies laboratory-based technical expertise to support research projects focused on brain tumor development and progression. This role uses molecular genetics and computational methods to study neurovascular disease processes in brain tumors. The Senior Research Assistant plays a key role in advancing both basic and translational research within the Brain Tumor Center of the Cancer Neuroscience Program. 
 
Scope of the Role 
The primary purpose of the Senior Research Assistant position is to conduct laboratory and computational research to understand how the neurovascular unit and blood-brain barrier function during brain tumor growth. The Senior Research Assistant studies neovascularization and interactions within the brain microenvironment using molecular biology, computational biology, and pre-clinical mouse models. 
 
This role includes hands-on in vivo work, including mouse handling and analysis. Experience with mouse genotyping using PCR is important. The Senior Research Assistant supports research across the Brain Tumor Center and contributes to expanding the laboratory's research directions. 
The Senior Research Assistant is responsible for organizing laboratory supplies and reagents needed for mouse genotyping and analysis. This role also includes analyzing transcriptomic datasets to support ongoing studies and help grow the laboratory's research portfolio. 
 
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in developing and utilizing primary cell culture systems, isolating cells from mice for transcriptomic and genomic analyses, and performing experimental mouse manipulations. They will have experience in neurovascular biology and in the characterization of genetically engineered mouse models, including routine mouse handling and PCR-based genotyping. The candidate will be responsible for organizing and managing supplies and reagents required for genotyping and mouse model analysis, as well as analyzing transcriptomic datasets to support the laboratory's research mission and help expand the research program into new directions. Additionally, at least five years of experience in scientific or experimental research work is also preferred.

<div>We are seeking a CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to become a part of our team! You will be responsible for direct client care and administrative duties for primary care services with the specialty provider team. 
Responsibilities

Responsibilities of a Certified Medical Assistant will include, but is not limited to the following:

<li>Assist to provide direct care services for specialty services(i.e. podiatry, psychiatry, nutrition).</li>
<li>Follow-up on client referrals Assist with direct patient care procedures and related tasks: check in, vitals, obtaining client history, assist with medical examinations</li>
<li>Performs routine procedures as injections, venipunctures and sterile dressing changes as directed by medical personnel.</li>
<li>Perform medication inventory control checks.</li>
<li>Perform essential work within Electronic Health Record system and program data entry systems with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.</li>
<li>Communicate in a culturally competent and effective manner to clients/caregivers regarding the services available.</li></ul> 


Qualifications
