As a Director of Video Production, you will be the operational and creative force that gets that work made. You'll own projects from brief to delivery, managing internal creative talent, external contractors, production companies, and agency partners, while keeping budgets, timelines, and contracts on track. You're not behind the camera or in the edit suite. You're the person who makes sure the right people are, and that everything they produce reflects the Axon brand at its best.

Reports to: Executive Creative Director 

Production Management 
<ul>
<li>Own the full production lifecycle for a blend of planned campaigns, reactive projects and internal videos</li>
<li>Develop and manage project briefs, production schedules, shot lists, and delivery timelines in close collaboration with the Executive Creative Director and internal creative leads</li>
<li>Coordinate all logistics for shoots including location, permitting, travel, equipment, and crew, whether in-studio or in the field</li>
<li>Manage day-of production across shoots, serving as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders on set</li>
</ul>
Team and Vendor Management
<ul>
<li>Source, negotiate with, and manage freelance crew, editors, production companies, and agency partners on a project-by-project basis</li>
<li>Direct the work of Axon's internal editors and shooters, ensuring project clarity, creative alignment, and on-time delivery at every stage</li>
<li>Build and maintain a vetted roster of production contractors across cinematography, editing, motion graphics, audio, and post</li>
<li>Serve as the primary liaison between Axon and any law enforcement agencies or public safety partners involved in production</li>
</ul>
Budget and Contracts
<ul>
<li>Own production budgets from estimate through final reconciliation, tracking spend across internal resources, contractors, and vendors</li>
<li>Draft, manage, and execute contracts between Axon and production contractors, ensuring compliance with company procurement and legal standards</li>
<li>Manage location agreements, talent releases, and any production-related agreements with law enforcement agencies and community partners</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to increase production efficiency and reduce cost without sacrificing quality</li>
</ul>
Creative Collaboration
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the Executive Creative Director to ensure every project has a clear creative vision before production begins</li>
<li>Partner with marketing, product, sales, and communications stakeholders to align on objectives, messaging, and deliverables</li>
<li>Maintain brand consistency across all video output regardless of project size or format</li>
<li>Contribute to the ongoing development of Axon's production infrastructure, workflows, and vendor relationships</li>

Work Location 
This role is based out of our Seattle, Boston, or Scottsdale location and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. What You Bring
<ul>
<li>7+ years of experience in video production, with a track record of producing projects from brief to delivery in a brand, agency, or in-house environment</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing crews, freelance contractors, and external production partners</li>
<li>A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to film production</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the full production process across pre-production, production, and post, even if your role has always been on the producing side</li>
<li>Experience managing production budgets and reconciling actuals against estimates</li>
<li>Familiarity with contract management, talent releases, and vendor agreements in a production context</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously</li>

Building a revolutionary way to record, transcribe, edit, and mix spoken audio and video comes with a series of unique challenges and requires solving hard and complex problems.

As more marketing, communications, sales, support, and creative teams adopt Descript, we're investing in the experiences that help people discover what's possible with our product - and connect with the people behind it.

We're looking for our first Field Marketing Manager to build that program from the ground up.

This is a builder role. You'll define how Descript shows up in the real world, creating experiences that introduce new audiences to Descript, deepen relationships with customers, and generate pipeline for our growing enterprise business. From executive dinners and industry events to customer meetups, partner activations, and hands-on workshops, you'll create programs that people actually want to attend.

You'll work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Brand to develop field marketing into a repeatable, measurable growth engine.

What you'll do</h2>
<ul><li>Build Descript's field marketing strategy from the ground up, including planning, processes, measurement, and annual programming.</li>
<li>Develop and execute integrated field marketing programs that generate pipeline, accelerate opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.</li>
<li>Own end-to-end execution of in-person and virtual experiences, including executive dinners, workshops, conferences, customer events, roadshows, webinars, and community gatherings.</li>
<li>Partner closely with Enterprise Sales to identify priority accounts, align programs to territory plans, and create experiences that help move deals forward.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand, Demand Generation, Partnerships, and Customer Success to create cohesive campaigns before, during, and after every event.</li>
<li>Build playbooks for event planning, sales engagement, lead follow-up, reporting, and program operations that can scale as the team grows.</li>
<li>Manage budgets, vendors, agencies, venues, and logistics while creating thoughtful attendee experiences that reflect the Descript brand.</li>
<li>Measure and communicate program impact across pipeline, revenue influence, customer engagement, and qualitative feedback to help shape future investments.</li>
<li>Represent Descript at industry events and build authentic relationships with customers, prospects, creators, and partners.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">What we're looking for</h2>
<ul><li>3-5 years of experience in B2B marketing, with 2+ years of field marketing or event experience. Also open to 4+ years of events agency experience (especially if you have worked with B2B clients).</li>
<li>You've built programs, not just executed them. You enjoy creating structure where it doesn't yet exist.</li>
<li>Experience partnering closely with Sales to drive pipeline and revenue outcomes.</li>
<li>Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail&mdash;you can manage dozens of moving pieces without losing sight of the bigger picture.</li>
<li>You're equally comfortable developing a strategy, negotiating with a venue, reviewing event signage, and presenting results to leadership.</li>
<li>You use data to make decisions and know how to measure marketing impact beyond registration numbers.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a bias toward action.</li>
<li>Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-moving startup environment.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel approximately 25&ndash;35%.</li>

The role</h2>

We're looking for a Social Media and Content Marketing Manager to own the channels where Flexport shows up every day. You'll run our social presence, keep the blog full of content people actually want to read, and produce a newsletter that logistics leaders look forward to opening. You'll write most of it yourself, polish the visuals in Canva, cut short videos for social, and build a network of voices, inside Flexport and out, who amplify our story.

This is a hands-on job for a strong writer who gets social, has an eye for design, and likes shipping work rather than just planning it.

<li>A working command of social best practices across those platforms, from what to post to when and why, and how each channel differs.</li>
<li>Basic design editing skills. You're comfortable building clean, on-brand graphics in Canva.</li>
<li>Basic video editing skills. You can cut and caption short clips for social without needing a full production team.</li>
<li>Comfort managing several channels and deadlines at once, with the ownership to keep them all moving.</li>
