Great Hill</b> is seeking an <b>Executive Specialist/Office Management Specialist</b> in <b>Washington, DC.</b> The objective of this work is to provide Executive Specialist support to senior level officials for one of Great Hill Solutions' government clients.</p>
<p><b>
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to</b>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Reports directly to a DAS and the Director (and/or policy coordinator) In this connection, the incumbent handles all requests for meetings and appointments, decides the distribution of the Deputy Assistant Secretary's time, prepares or requests preparation of briefing memoranda indicating purpose of appointments and outlining background data. Arranges for oral briefings by appropriate officers; and discusses with officials invited to meetings called by the Deputy Assistant Secretary the subject of the meetings in order that they will be properly informed and provided with necessary information.</li>
<li>The contractor shall provide support services that include office assistance, travel arrangement, document drafting, correspondence review, time keeping, and scheduling to meet the needs of the team.</li>
<li>Responsible for carrying out special assignments for the Deputy Assistant Secretary, which require ahigh degree of tact and diplomacy and comprehensive knowledge of the views of the Deputy Assistant Secretary</li>
<li>Answers and promptly handles telephone calls coming into the office.</li>
<li>Maintains the schedule for Special Representative and the Office Director.</li>
<li>Manages passports and visa procurement for all travel in support of the office.</li>
<li>Prepares correspondence, telegrams, and memoranda, ensuring that all conform to style and format guidelines established by the Department's Executive Secretariat.</li>
<li>Drafts/prepares travel authorizations on behalf of members of office members based on information provided by traveler. Prepares trip itinerary, obtains travel expenses estimates (MI &amp; E costs, taxi, hotel costs).Upon completion of trip, assists traveler in preparing electronic travel vouchers.</li>
<li>Follows up with traveler to ensure all expense documents have been submitted and on time (i.e., within 30 days).</li>
<li>Reviews all incoming correspondence and forwards it with necessary information or instructions to the appropriate officers for action; composes replies when appropriate.</li>
<li>Maintains office files and procures necessary office supplies.</li>
<li>Prepares time-and-attendance sheets and vouchers for taxis and representational funds.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure and tight or short deadlines.</li>
<li>As requested, or on his/her own initiative, makes careful and exhaustive searches for information difficult to obtain, compiles data and makes preliminary analyses.</li>
<li>Makes and acknowledges various social arrangements and obligations which are a part of the official responsibility of the office.</li>
<li>Manages other tasks authorized by the Government Task Manager that fall within the scope of this task order.</li>

<p><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>The contractor shall have the following skills:</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of Department of State operations and overall office management experience.</li>
<li>Experience as a secretary/office manager working under pressure.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of personal computers and general administrative practices</li>
<li>Demonstrates extensive experience and demonstrated ability in working with classified and unclassified computer data bases. Operation and knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and relatedcomputer-based programs operations.</li>
<li>Extensive experience with travel arranging through E2 is highly preferred.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and initiative to manage tasks rather than simply respond to requests.</li>

The Reading Specialist/Librarian manages the in-school library education program and is responsible for teaching and planning multiple library and/or reading intervention classes a week. They will be responsible for assessing the information needs of students and staff, and managing the library book collection along with library-specific technology. They will also deliver equitable, data-informed literacy intervention with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.</p><p></p><p><b><br>

<p><b>
Instructional Services</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Create and implement a developmentally appropriate, anti-bias and anti-racist library specials curriculum aligned with the Montessori philosophy for linguistically and culturally diverse students.</li>
<li>Work closely with students to support self-assessment, foster individual progress, and accommodate varying learning abilities, including students with exceptionalities.</li>
<li>Lead reading intervention classes for small groups of students using appropriate curricula</li>
<li>Document all lesson plans, assignments, rubrics, and instructional methods.</li>
<li>Evaluate the library media program continuously using established standards of quality.</li>
<li>Provides Tier 2 and 3 intervention services to students identified through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS framework).</li>
<li>Delivers high-quality, small group or 1:1 instruction using the most appropriate service model (push-in or pull-out) based on student need</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Collection Development &amp; Access to Information</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement an ongoing media collection plan to evaluate, select, and update media center resources including books and online resources that support diverse learning and curricular needs.</li>
<li>Advocate for intellectual freedom and uphold the school&rsquo;s anti-bias, anti-racist mission.</li>
<li>Adhere to and promote copyright and ethical use guidelines in the distribution and use of all resources.</li>
<li>Manage the library budget, and maintain accurate records.</li>
<li>Maintain consistent student and staff visitation hours to the media center for research needs and encourage broad use of print and electronic resources at school and home.</li>

<p><b>Facilities &amp; Technology</b></p>

<li>Instruct students and staff in the effective use of technology to access resources and information, including information literacy, digital citizenship, and safety for older students.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain an efficient circulation system of resources to maximize student and staff access.</li>
<li>Organize the library media center to maximize equitable access to digital and physical resources.</li>
<li>Maintain the library book collection and reshelve in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Manage Chromebooks and other physical technology to support digital library curriculum.</li>

<li>Develop community-wide initiatives such as book fairs, student showcases, and community partnerships as needed to promote literacy and the library program.</li>
