</div><div><ul><li>Produce and edit breaking news video in real time
</li><li>Develop original, social-first features that drive engagement
</li><li>Write sharp, accurate scripts and headlines under deadline
</li><li>Package and distribute video across Bloomberg.com and external platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Snapchat)
</li><li>Optimize content using performance data and platform best practices
</li><li>Collaborate with reporters, anchors and producers across Bloomberg News
</li><li>Manage end-to-end workflow&mdash;from edit to publish to performance tracking

</div><div><ul><li>5+ years producing and editing video in a newsroom or digital media environment
</li><li>Strong editorial judgment and experience covering breaking news
</li><li>A track record of creating high-performing social video
</li><li>Fluency in platform-specific storytelling and distribution strategies
</li><li>Experience working with on-camera talent
</li><li>Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud tools is a plus
</li><li>Familiarity with social analytics tools and using data to inform decisions
</li><li>Broad interest in business, markets, politics, technology and culture

We are looking for a hardworking journalist, who thrives in a fast paced environment and has impeccable editorial judgment.</p><p><br>
The senior social media producer will be tasked with:</p><ul><li>
Working with CBS News talent, including O&amp;Os and affiliates, to script, record and produce original social content</li><li>
Acting as one of the leaders on the team, advising social media producers on story priorities, production techniques and best practices, in day-to-day coverage, breaking news situations and during special events.</li><li>
Appearing onscreen in original social videos and/or recording track for voiceovers.</li><li>
Producing and editing original video packages for CBS News&rsquo; various social media channels and the CBS News Streaming Network.</li><li>
Developing strategy for social channels and the optimization of show content for social platforms.</li><li>
Utilizing analytics to inform strategy and experimentation.</li><li>
Producing bespoke social content with talent, either as standalone social pieces or to preview segments on the show.</li><li>
Generating innovative and creative ideas for ways to drive tune-in and grow audience on social.</li><li>
Senior producing other producers&rsquo; video packages and scripts.</li><li>
Performing the role of a senior producer on original production shoots in the fi eld</li><li>
Providing supervisory coverage when necessary.</li><li>
Composing social headlines, articles and share language that are both highly shareable and consistent with the CBS News brand.</li><li>

Candidate qualifications:</p><ul><li>
6 to 8 years of social media or newsroom experience</li><li>
Deep familiarity with social media platforms, audiences and best practices</li><li>
The ability to write about a variety of topics in a strong, yet unbiased way</li><li>
Strong writing skills with demonstrated portfolio of published work</li><li>
Strong producing and editing skills</li><li>
Ability to quickly and exactly subtitle video for social, using both editing platforms and the text tools within TikTok and Instagram</li><li>
Ability to work well with others under tight deadlines<br>

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
