This position plays a key role in shaping the school&rsquo;s visual storytelling. A major responsibility includes producing photography for the biannual <i>Boston University Medicine Magazine</i>, including cover images and feature stories. JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Advancement Communications provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for all fundraising and Alumnae/i Relations ("Advancement") communications. The Director oversees editorial strategy and content development across all Advancement marketing channels, including but not limited to websites, email marketing, publications, and social media.
<br><br>
Reporting to the Senior Director of Alumnae/i and Volunteer Engagement, the Director works strategically across the Advancement division and collaborates closely with University Marketing Communications and other campus partners. The role advances fundraising and alumnae/i engagement through compelling, audience-centered communications and ensures that all messaging aligns with Advancement priorities and the University's brand and editorial standards. This position also directly supports Advancement's revenue-generating efforts by leading the development of messaging and materials for major, principal, and transformational gifts; creating multi-platform content related to campaign and fundraising priorities; serving as senior editor for non-marketing Advancement communications; and managing complex communications projects as assigned.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) is comprised of experienced investigators, attorneys, and support personnel that investigate violations of the Commonwealth&rsquo;s tax laws. On tobacco-related investigations, the CIB works closely with the Illegal Tobacco Task Force and with civil tobacco inspectors from the Department&rsquo;s Miscellaneous Excise Bureau. The mission of CIB is to preserve the integrity of the Commonwealth&rsquo;s tax system by investigating and seeking prosecution of tax-related crimes that will generate the maximum deterrent effect, enhance voluntary compliance, and promote public confidence in the tax system.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Position Summary</b></div><div>
The Department seeks an Investigative Intern for its Criminal Investigations Bureau. The intern will assist Tax Fraud Investigators and other CIB personnel with investigations. This is a great opportunity to obtain hands-on investigative experience while also learning various facets of state tax law including, but not limited to: tax evasion, money laundering, and tobacco smuggling. The chance to assist with tobacco inspections in the field is also a possibility based on experience, interest, and availability.
