The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience and be adept to consulting clients on their skin care needs. Must be a self-starter. In this role you will deliver quality technical service with emphasis on the customer&rsquo;s total appearance and be responsible for building a request client base through referrals and utilizing promotional materials available, while following all company policies and procedures. Position is available for part-time but can potentially become full-time. Compensation will be an hourly wage plus commission and is negotiable.

Job Overview

As an Esthetician Skin Care Specialist for the Cosmetics department, your primary focus is to build and maintain relationships with our customers. You are a critical link in ensuring that our customers' experience in our store is nothing other than outstanding.

You will be in a dynamic selling environment where your expert skin care advice, and product knowledge will make you an important part of our team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to demonstrating exception customer service, building and maintaining a loyal client base, providing clients with product knowledge, providing esthetics services from a prescribed menu in an off-the-selling-floor setting, booking appointments for esthetic services, calling clients for events and the arrival of new merchandise and working as part of a team to meet individual, department and store objectives.

Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. What You Will Do

<li>Build customer relationships through in-person, virtual or phone skincare consultations to assess their skin concerns, needs, and goals</li>
<li>Educate customers on the benefits of various skincare ingredients and techniques</li>
<li>Develop customized skincare routines tailored to customers individual needs and preferences that will drive sales</li>
<li>Demonstrate proper skincare from approved and trained services and provide hands-on guidance to clients</li>
<li>Assist customers in booking appointments skin services; call clients for events, appointments, and the arrival of new merchandise; and work as part of a team to meet individual, department, and store objectives</li>
<li>Ensure the customer understands and signs the service release form</li>
<li>Drive customer acquisition. Leverage MyClient to nurture client relationships through impactful and personalized outreach. Drive sales through leveraging Macy&rsquo;s Loyalty Program</li>
<li>Remain up to date with all training through Beauty Playground. Attend Vendor trainings and virtual trainings as assigned</li>
<li>Stay current on brand related product knowledge and beauty trends</li>
<li>Meet regularly with your supervisor to discuss your performance, goals, and actions</li>

Who You Are

<li>Have a current Esthetician License (Required)
<ul><li>Maintain and display a valid state-issued esthetician, cosmetology license</li>
<li>The colleague is responsible for any fees, additional training, and/or renewals needed as a requirement</li>
</ul></li><li>Maintain compliance with State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and State Board of Health rules and regulations</li>
<li>1-2 years of experience working as an Esthetician or Beauty Advisor in a spa, salon, or skincare clinic</li>
<li>Strong sales and customer service experience with a drive to meet and exceed performance goals</li>
<li>Comfortable with contact with clients/ customers to provide consultations and treatment</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial with strong drive to develop and maintain your own client base</li>
<li>Love of learning and sharing - learning about, understanding and communicating the features, advantages and benefits of your merchandise to build the sale</li>
<li>Proactive - ability to initiate service consultations by asking open-ended questions to learn the customers' preferences and buying/service needs</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate, share information, and build relationships with diverse groups of customers, vendors, and peers</li>
<li>Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities</li>
