The School for Young Performers is looking for a part-time middle school English and World History teacher for a student in Manhattan. The educator will work 8 hours/week in a fluid one-on-one classroom construct for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The educator is expected to be able to teach 6th grade English and World History (focus on Ancient Civilizations) with differentiation, breadth, depth, and creativity; preference will be given to teachers with a literacy specialization and/or Orton Gillingham training . Hours are day-time, thus this is not an after-school position. As the goal is for 1:1 instruction, only local candidates open to in-person teaching will be considered.
