Position Summary:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for working independently, with limited supervision, to design, develop, and deliver high-quality instructional materials and training programs that align with our company objectives. Requires a higher level of creativity, problem-solving skills, and expertise in instructional design principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Create and design engaging, effective, and interactive learning materials, including eLearning courses or instructor-led training, job aids, and other resources.
</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and organize content, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
</li></ul><ul><li>Manage and execute the instructional design process for assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
</li></ul><ul><li>Review and edit training materials for clarity, consistency, and instructional effectiveness.
</li></ul><ul><li>Propose and develop creative solutions to enhance the learning experience and improve existing training programs.
</li></ul><ul><li>Coach and provide guidance to lower-level professionals within the team, aiding in their professional development.
</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with peers and managers to address complex instructional design challenges and contribute to the improvement of learning processes.
</li></ul><ul><li>Other duties may be assigned.

Experience:
<ul><li>Minimum 2 years related experience.
</li></ul>Education:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
</li></ul>Skills Required:
<ul><li>Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in designing and developing a variety of learning materials, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
</li></ul><ul><li>Practical knowledge of project management techniques to oversee instructional design projects from initiation to completion.
</li></ul><ul><li>Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS); Basic graphic design skills or proficiency in using graphic design software.
</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders (regular updates, manage expectations, gather feedback); change management skills (managing and communicating change).
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to create clear and coherent instructional materials.
</li></ul><ul><li>Strong attention to detail for reviewing and editing training materials.
</li></ul>Qualifications Preferred:
<ul><li>Experience &ndash; Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in training or facilitation role within the indirect auto finance market, banking/finance company/auto industry.
</li><li>Education &ndash; Advanced training or certifications in human resources, talent development, or related fields.
</li><li>Travel 10-20% - as required.
</li><li>Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Houston, TX; Auburn Hills, MI
