The Director of Publicity, Paramount+ will lead and support the development and execution of publicity strategies that genera media coverage, drive subscriber interaction, and elevate Paramount+ Originals. The Director will report to the VP of Publicity for Direct to Consumer. They will translate publicity efforts into measurable outcomes including media impressions, social commitment, and brand visibility.</div></div><div><div>
This individual will oversee public relations campaigns from beginning to end. They will serve as the primary contact for assigned projects, oversee media relations, arrange for talent involvement, plan press events, and control the presentation of content.</div><div>

Responsibilities:</b></div></div><ul><li><div>
Lead and own comprehensive publicity campaigns for Paramount+ Original series across scripted and unscripted content, from announcement through premiere and season runs.</div></li><li><div>
Conceptualize innovative publicity approaches and identify new media opportunities that break through the competitive landscape.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with content and programming teams to identify publicity opportunities during the development process.</div></li><li><div>
Execute media strategies that secure placements in key outlets including broadcast morning shows, late-night programs, major publications, podcasts, and digital platforms.</div></li><li><div>
Oversee development of all press materials including press releases, media alerts, episode descriptions, talent bios, and pitch materials.</div></li><li><div>
Cultivate and maintain relationships with entertainment journalists, critics, trade press, podcasters, and digital influencers.</div></li><li><div>
Work directly with talent representatives including agents, managers, and personal publicists to align on campaign goals and secure participation in press opportunities.</div></li><li><div>
Build productive relationships with creators and performers while navigating talent dynamics diplomatically.</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate talent availability for press interviews, photoshoots, and publicity events.</div></li><li><div>
Lead execution of high-impact press events including premieres, screenings, press junkets, and experiential activations, serving as key decision-maker.</div></li><li><div>
Partner with Marketing, Creative, Awards, Social Media, Events, and Content teams to ensure integrated campaign approaches.</div></li><li><div>
Provide guidance and mentorship to publicity managers and junior team members.

Track expenses and ensure campaigns are executed within budget parameters.</div></li><li><div>

Basic Qualifications:</b></div></div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field required.</div></li><li><div>
7+ years of progressive experience in entertainment publicity for television, streaming, or film.</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated experience leading publicity strategies and managing media relationships.</div></li><li><div>
Portfolio of campaigns that achieved measurable media attention and business impact.</div></li><li><div>
Experience providing guidance to junior team members.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed for events, premieres, and campaign deadlines.</div></li></ul><p></p><div><div><b><br>
Additional Qualifications:</b></div></div><ul><li><div>
Experience working on or supporting awards campaigns including Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, or Critics Choice efforts preferred.</div></li><li><div>

Sophisticated approach to campaign development with ability to identify cultural moments and build multi-phase publicity strategies.</div></li><li><div>

Hiring Salary Range: $110,000.00 - 145,000.00.</p><p></p><p><br>
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.</p><p><br>
