<div>JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing both the day-to-day human resources functions and the administrative operations of the physical office space. This role ensures compliance with HR policies, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle processes, and fosters a supportive, equitable, and organized workplace. The HR Generalist provides cross-functional support to staff and leadership while stewarding a culture of accountability, trust, and inclusion. This position requires proactive problem-solving, confidentiality, and strong project and people management skills.
This position is full-time, exempt, and reports to the Chief Operating Officer. IPHI?s standard work week is 37.5 hours.
The IPHI operates in a dynamic funding environment, and the availability of specific program funding may evolve over time. While the position you are applying for is currently supported by existing funding, future changes in funding sources could impact the associated program. IPHI is committed to supporting our staff and will work to transition employees into other programs within the organization should program funding shift. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General

Job Description
The Human Resources Director leads and manages the people management related agenda for the institution/business. He/she will be a key contributor on both a strategic and operational level, serving as the business partner to the business team. He/she will collaborate with Home Office HR Centers of Excellence to execute on a wide range of HR initiatives. The Director will lead major change initiatives, coordinating support from critical HR Shared Services or COEs. S/he is a seasoned people-manager who is committed to the development of high potential talent within the institution and capable of helping the business accelerate and drive growth. The incumbent is a skilled and transparent communicator, collaborator, and team player. Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and influencing skills are essential for success.<ul><li>
Develops a variety of HR strategies that are practical, measurable, and tightly linked to the organizational goals.</li><li>
Serves as a partner to senior institutional/business leadership, identifying and executing a variety of organizational effectiveness interventions (i.e. performance management, organization design, learning initiatives, teambuilding, 360 assessments, executive coaching) to maximize performance within the institution.</li><li>
Develops and executes plans to meet workforce needs, both in terms of quantity and mix of skills.</li><li>
Utilizes a variety of HR metrics to assess the state of the workforce and the effectiveness of management practices; develops recommendations to address emerging issues.</li><li>
Evaluates engagement survey results, consults with the management team and recommends strategies for addressing vulnerable populations.</li><li>
Partners with the Adtalem Global Education Centers of Excellence (talent management, talent acquisition, colleague relations and total rewards) to ensure the requirements of the institution are reflected in program design. In partnership with the COEs, executes major enterprise processes on behalf of the business.</li><li>
Drives the semi-annual performance management and total compensation process. Ensures performance evaluation results are calibrated and reflective of the institution&rsquo;s performance.</li><li>
Is personally invested in the development and retention of high-performing, high-potential colleagues within the business/institution. Regularly meets with key talent, helps to create development plans and ensures the executive leadership of the business keeps the development and retention of talent high on the agenda.</li><li>
Serves as a trusted advisor to the institution&rsquo;s senior leadership on all HR-related matters.</li><li>
Manages the performance and development of the institution&rsquo;s HR Business Partners (if applicable).</li><li>

Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelors degree required and Master degree preferred.</li><li>
Ten (10) years of broad-based HR experience required with exposure to multiple functional areas within HR.</li><li>
Preferred experience in consulting, HR operations and supporting sales organizations.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, matrix organization.</li><li>

Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,171.61 and $181,034.70. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. The Manager of Human Resources and Compliance Operations provides both strategic leadership and hands-on management of all HR and compliance functions for RSSI. Approximately 75% of this role is focused on human resources (including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, training, and policy development), while 25% is dedicated to compliance with CARF International, the Illinois Bureau of Accreditation, and other regulatory compliance organizations with which RSSI works.
