Position Summary:
Provides routine, entry-level technical assistance in carrying out assigned duties of research projects.

Research Technician (Temporary Status) - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Schnur Lab)

<div>A Research Technician position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hyunglok Chung within the Drosophila Core Facility. The successful candidate will conduct independent laboratory work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and interact daily with other scientists. The position will focus on the generation and maintenance of Drosophila melanogaster model organisms, phenotypic characterization, behavioral assays, tissue dissection and staining, and fulfilling research requests from Drosophila Core clients across multiple departments. A key component of this role is ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of fly models and related services to support ongoing research projects. 
Qualifications 
<ul><li>The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a research laboratory setting, with a strong interest and hands-on experience in D. melanogaster husbandry, genetics, and imaging techniques</li><li>Experience with fly model generation (crosses, balancer genetics), phenotyping, behavioral assays, tissue dissection, and immunostaining is highly preferred</li><li>The candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as at least a two-year commitment to this role</li></ul>

This position is responsible for performing lab tests on incoming/outgoing shipments and assists Supervisor with treatability studies. This position includes monitoring safety regulations and the use of equipment, initiating work orders for repairs of equipment and maintaining production logs and QC paperwork. Logging of test results in CORE waste management software.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):</div><ul><li>
Perform wet chemistry test on inbound/outbound load QC samples.</li><li>
Perform PCB analysis on QC samples.</li><li>
Maintain compliance and comply with Waste Analysis Plan (WAP).</li><li>
Complete and submit QC/QA documents to Operations.</li><li>
File, electronically, the completed QC/QA document.</li><li>
Review QC/QA test results to Waste profile Sheet to determine if results match profile.</li><li>
Process (consolidate) waste samples into larger containers.</li><li>
Package Samples to ship off site for testing.</li><li>
Communicate off-specification materials to managers.</li><li>
Conduct toolbox talks and area inspections.</li><li>
Communicate with Lab QC Supervisor to accomplish daily goals.</li><li>
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.</li><li>
High school diploma or GED.</li><li>
1 or more years of prior experience working in a Laboratory.</li></ul><div> 

Preferred Qualifications:</div><ul><li>
Associates or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Chemistry or an Environmental Sciences field.</li><li>
2 or more years as a Lab QC Technician.</li><li>

As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Once in role, Technicians are required to complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to their State&rsquo;s Board of Pharmacy guidelines. A Technician is responsible for contributing to safe and effective operations of the pharmacy, including but not limited to:<ul><li>
Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health</li><li>
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (i.e., production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment</li><li>
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems</li><li>
Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.</li><li>
