<p>Individualized Intervention ABA, LLC</p><p><b>ABA Therapist (Behavior Technician) </b></p><p><b>Title: </b>Behavior Technician/ ABA Therapist</p><p><b>FLSA: </b>Non-exempt<br/><b>Department</b>: ABA<br/><b>Location: Texas- </b>Houston<br/><b>Supervisor:</b> Board Certified Behavior Analyst</p><p><b>Summary</b>:<br/>The Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy directly to patients between the ages of 2-8 years old, who have a diagnosis of Autism or a related disorder. Therapy is conducted 1:1 or in small groups in an in-home setting or community-based setting to address interventions related to communication, socialization and skills to reduce problematic behaviors. The<br/>Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist is supervised and trained by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.<br/>Ongoing training and supervision is provided, and all Behavior Technicians/ABA Therapist are required to obtain and maintain their credential as a Registered Behavior Technician.</p><p><b>Required Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>A minimum of a high school diploma or GED</li><li>Preferred: College coursework in a related field or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Psychology, Education or related field</li><li>Experience working with children between the ages of 2-8 or volunteering with children</li><li>Dependable, punctual and flexible</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Highly-motivated</li><li>Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds</li><li>Reliable transportation- ability to drive to client home or community-based settings</li><li>Preferred: ABA Experience or RBT Credentialed</li></ul><p><b>Job Functions: </b></p><ul><li>Works directly with patients implementing treatment plans and interventions recommended by BCBA</li><li>Establish and maintains enthusiasm and motivation throughout therapy sessions</li><li>Implements ABA therapy techniques which include but are not limited to discrete trail training, natural environment training, imitation, socialization and behavior management</li><li>Implements individualized behavioral intervention plan to address severe maladaptive behaviors that may include aggression, elopement, hair pulling, biting, kicking, etc.</li><li>Works collaboratively with a team of Behavior Technicians/ABA Therapist and BCBAs</li><li>Monitors and records each occurrence of treatment (data collection and session summary)</li><li>Communicate with parents/caregivers</li><li>Assist patients in daily living skills such as toileting, feeding, dressing, grooming, etc. as recommended on the treatment plan/intervention</li><li>Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings</li><li>Maintain requirements for RBT Credential (supervision log and re-ceritification)</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul><p>Ability to Commute:</p><ul><li>Houston, TX 77084 (Required)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
