The Social Media &amp; Corporate Communications Intern will support the Foundation&rsquo;s national social media and storytelling efforts, gaining hands-on experience in content creation, digital community engagement, and nonprofit communications. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications and Social Media, this intern will assist with daily social media operations, writing and scheduling posts, tracking analytics, managing creative assets, and supporting content development across the Foundation&rsquo;s communication channels.

Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Support the PR and Marketing team with day-to-day campaign execution and content development</li><li>
Use Canva to design on-brand social media assets, including posts, stories, carousels, and simple animations</li><li>
Assist in refreshing the company&rsquo;s social media voice, helping evolve tone, messaging, and visual style across platforms</li><li>
Complete a project focused on reimagining social content through updated copy and design concepts</li><li>
Create and organize social media templates and visual guidelines to support consistency</li><li>
Draft, edit, and adapt social media copy to align with brand voice and audience expectations</li><li>
Monitor social media trends, formats, and best practices to inform creative recommendations</li><li>
Collaborate with PR, marketing, and creative stakeholders to iterate on content ideas</li><li>
Maintain organized files and documentation for social content and design assets</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
Proficiency in Canva (required)</li><li>
Strong interest in social media, branding, and storytelling</li><li>
Basic understanding of PR and marketing principles</li><li>
Strong written communication skills with an ear for tone and voice</li><li>
Creative mindset with attention to visual detail</li><li>
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently on defined projects</li></ul> 
Candidates must be a minimum of a Rising Junior and currently enrolled full time in Spring/Summer or Spring/Fall &rsquo;26 semesters. 
 
The Commercial Summer Intern Program runs from May 18, 2026 to July 24, 2026 and all positions will work full time (up to 40 hours per week).
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24-26 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
