The Medical Provider (ARNP / PA-C) role is part of the Medical Care team that supports ETS&rsquo; mission through connecting individuals with Evergreen Services Dispensary, clinic-based services and coordinating overall patient care while they are enrolled at Evergreen Treatment Services.</li><li>
The Medical Provider (ARNP / PA-C) role makes a critical difference at ETS by evaluating patients, diagnosing opioid use disorder; prescribing, ordering and adjusting appropriate opioid use disorder treatment medications. &middot; Watch this brief video that provides information about this role and working at ETS.</li></ul>
What you contribute to this role &ndash; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.</li><li>
Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.</li><li>
Serve as the primary medical care team coordinator for their assigned patients.</li><li>
Conduct intake medical assessment through physical examinations, establish diagnosis and determine initial medication choice and dose. This can take place in the Mobile Unit, community or in a clinic.</li><li>
Conduct patient dose evaluations and change medications as indicated. This can take place in the Mobile Unit, community or in a clinic. or via telehealth.</li><li>
Make appropriate recommendations for follow-up.</li><li>
Document findings and decision-making about care in electronic health record.</li><li>
Draw blood for necessary laboratory testing and for pre- and post-test counseling where required.</li><li>
Carry out HIV and Hepatitis-C testing if appropriate.</li><li>
Facilitate appropriate communication and referrals with outside medical providers for needed care and follow-up.</li><li>
Evaluate, as necessary, patients with urgent or emergent medical needs and determine if further medical assistance is necessary (e.g., calling Aid Car).</li><li>
Write medical orders for all take-home privileges, seeking CSAT and DBHR exceptions as necessary.</li></ul>
With the development of Evergreen Treatment Services Primary Care Provider program, the Medical Provider - MD/DO role will be fully aligned to support and enhance the needs of the program, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care delivery to patients.
The Medical Provider &ndash; MD/DO role provides an elevated level of care to patients as defined by the Medical Director or Associate Medical Director.
Future responsibilities included but may not be limited to:<ul><li>
Program Support: Collaborate with the Primary Care Provider program team to develop and implement strategies that enhance patient care and program efficiency.</li><li>
Patient Coordination: Facilitate seamless patient transitions within the program, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication between providers.</li></ul>

In this role, the APC will support both inpatient and outpatient aspects of colorectal surgical oncology care. Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Master of Nursing (MSN) or greater (DNP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)</li><li>
Unrestricted WA State ARNP or PA License or the ability to obtain prior to start date</li><li>
Current WA DEA certificate required prior to start date</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience within gynecology, OBGYN, or Labor and Delivery</li><li>
Training or Experience in EPIC EMR</li></ul> 
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $113,000 - $173,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We are recruiting a full-time physician assistant (PA) at the faculty rank of Teaching Associate to join our spine surgery service at the University of Washington Medical Center &ndash; Northwest Hospital and Montlake Campuses. The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and have effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise. Our physician assistants are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in the surgical, inpatient and outpatient settings. Teaching associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has a flexible start date in the spring or summer of 2026.
Salary:
 
The base salary range for this position will be: $10,000 - $14,850 per month ($120,000-178,200 annually) commensurate with qualifications and years of experience as a physician assistant, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.
