<div>Description
The Senior Buyer negotiates contractual arrangements between Mount Sinai Medical Center and selected vendors committing funds to ensure the procurement of high quality equipment, supplies and other products at optimum cost. Prepares and evaluates bids; awards contracts for large dollar relationships and purchases. Develops RFO's for specialized purchase situations, such as service agreements, capital purchases, etc. Negotiates for cost savings and other value-added benefits with every purchase opportunity. Utilizes PMM as the standard purchasing application with other appropriate protocols. 
Responsibilities
1.Maintains a relationship with vendors to ensure the procurement of high quality equipment and products, expedient delivery and reliable service at optimum prices.

2.Analyzes markets to determine vendors sources and product availability.

3.Develops bids for products, services and capital purchases according to purchasing policies and conventions. Reviews and awards contracts based on total value proposition of each relationship.

4.Prepares solicitations, evaluates, negotiates, and prepares award purchase contracts for the purpose of purchasing supplies, equipment and products within authorized purchasing limit. Secures supervisor&rsquo;s approval for purchases above authorized limit.

5.Manages all aspects of the contract process including price, freight terms, payment terms and rebates/credits.

6.Maintains familiarity with the U.S. General Purchasing Office (GPO) contracts and utilizes it to achieve the best possible contractual agreements. Collaborates with user departments to achieve volume commitments and standardization compliance.

7.Manages all aspects of the contract process including price, freight terms, payment terms, rebates/credits, etc. Strives to maximize ratio of contracts to non-contracted transactions to 90:10.

8.Recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve systems of procurement.

9.Performs other related duties.

 At Garden Spot Village, our At Home Caregivers provide direct in-home care and services to individuals enrolled in Garden Spot Village at Home. This position supports personal care, daily living activities, and agreed-upon domestic tasks while promoting safety, independence, and comfort for each client. This position is great for experienced caregivers and those looking to gain experience in a care setting!
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow Residents&rsquo; Rights policies at all times
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a positive attitude and uphold standards of good caregiving practice
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist clients in a manner conducive to their safety, comfort, and independence
 </li>
 <li>
 Report any unusual observations or conditions to the Coordinator of GSV At Home or Assistant Coordinator/Scheduler
 </li>
 <li>
 Practice safety for self and clients and report any unsafe conditions
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow the established care plan for each assigned client
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist, as contracted, with clients&rsquo; personal possessions, home environment, meal preparation and feeding, appointment scheduling and reminders, and other services listed in the care plan
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide personal care as contracted, including assistance with bathing, continence care, oral hygiene, hair grooming, dressing, shaving, and nail care
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduled
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend all in-services and training sessions relevant to the position
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
 </li>
 <li>
 Answer the telephone and assist clients with calls
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 What We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High school diploma or GED preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Driver&rsquo;s License
 </li>
 <li>
 No experience necessary; training will be provided
 </li>
 <li>
 Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)
 </li>
 <li>
 Commitment to customer service and teamwork
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to understand and identify with the Mission Statement and philosophy of Garden Spot Village At Home
 </li>
 <li>
 Treat clients, family members, and peers with dignity and respect
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
 </li>
 <li>
 May include weekends, evenings, and holidays
