We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator.

We are seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented Research Coordinator to join our dynamic human neuroscience laboratory. The candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, neuroscientists, engineers, and data scientists to describe the underpinnings of human episodic memory function and its dysfunction and translating these findings for patient benefit. Our research combines naturalistic memory behaviors with direct recordings from the human brain at the single unit and local population level. We primarily work with epilepsy patients in the surgical inpatient setting as well as patients with implanted chronic brain recordings (RNS, NeuroPace Inc.). Some of the research tools we use are eye-tracking, pupillometry, head movements, first- and third-person video, GPS precision, speech analysis, and micro-macro wire recordings. Our lab collaborates with basic, cognitive, and computational neuroscientists on a shared mission to translate basic and cognitive neuroscience insights to improve human memory health.<br>
The ideal candidate will carry out all administrative and patient-facing activities (recruitment, consent, and data collection) without direction. S/he will contribute intellectually and socially to the lab culture and pursue their own independent scientific project within the lab.
<br>

The selected candidate will join a progressive NP group to care for patients with advanced cardiac illnesses, on our telemetry ward.</p>

<p>Responsibilities</p>

<li>The Nurse Practitioner will manage a diverse group of cardiac patients predominantly with Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant.</li>

<li>Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses.</li>
<li>Must have NPI Certification.</li>
<li>Current NP Board Certification Required.</li>
<li>Must be eligible for ANCC Board Certification in Acute Care.</li>
<li>Must be eligible for DEA certification.</li>
<li>Must be eligible for American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and BLS.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule. Flex shifts, Nights and/or Days with night rotation positions are available.</li>
<li>Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills required.</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p>
<ul>
<li>Adult Gerontology Acute care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) preparation preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in cardiology, advanced heart failure or transplant a plus.</li>
<li>Previous NP experience a plus.</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p>Other Requirements</p>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity and proficiency with computer-based programs such as electronic medical records systems, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.</li>
<li>Participation in Medical Surveillance required:
<ul><li>Contact with patients and/or human research subjects</li>
<li>Wear N-95 respirator</li>
<li>Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure</li>
</ul></li><li>Must successfully complete applicable compliance and systems training requirements.</li>
