Job Description 
Morning News Now is looking for a talented, decisive Line Producer who thrives in the control room and understands the unique rhythm of live morning news. This is a pivotal role on our flagship streaming morning show &mdash; the person who keeps the broadcast tight, smart, urgent, and visually compelling from the first block to the final tease.

Collaborate Across the Newsroom

Strengthen Production Value

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 91,000.00. 
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. CBS News&rsquo; Growth &amp; Engagement team is hiring a digital producer! This role is responsible for producing and clipping videos for YouTube and CBSNews.com, writing articles, sending push alerts and reacting to breaking news across platforms. 
 
The ideal candidate is a skilled video content creator who's comfortable making quick turn-around videos, pitching creative story ideas and meeting deadlines. They should have strong editorial judgment and feel comfortable making real-time decisions, coordinating across departments when needed. They should also have a knack for compelling, SEO-friendly headlines. 
 
The hours for this role are Tuesday-Saturday from 7am-3pm ET, and candidates can work out of New York City or Los Angeles. You will be expected to work some holidays and shift your schedule as needed. 
 
Day-to-day responsibilities: 
<ul><li>Clip live news coverage, special reports and more from CBS News 24/7 in real-time</li><li>Run daily live streams, curate and optimize CBS News&rsquo; YouTube channels, writing your own original SEO-friendly headlines and descriptions to accompany all videos</li><li>Create original long and short-form video content, identifying broadcast or stream segments to package for our CBS News YouTube audiences</li><li>Identify CBS News archives to resurface, working closely with executive producers, rights &amp; clearances, legal and standards teams to ensure content is cleared for publication</li><li>Write clear, concise, accurate and error-free app, web, Apple News and OTT push alerts that could go out successfully to a wide audience without revisions</li><li>Write CBSNews.com articles across a wide array of topics, as needed</li><li>Contribute to G&amp;E reports that are distributed across various verticals and platforms, identifying traffic patterns and sharing suggestions on how to grow traffic</li></ul>
 
Qualifications: 
<ul><li>You have 3+ years of experience in a digital breaking news environment and proven ability to react quickly as news develops</li><li>Familiarity with the editing software Adobe Premiere</li><li>You&rsquo;re a strong writer and self-editor who can move quickly and with precision</li><li>You're familiar with analytics platforms like Adobe, Chartbeat, YouTube Studio, etc.</li><li>You know how to craft a compelling headline and description following SEO best practices</li></ul></div>
