<div><div>Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Cardiothoracic Transplant Specialty team. This role is integral in providing specialized care to patients undergoing advanced heart failure treatments, mechanical circulatory support, heart and heart/lung transplantation.

Position Overview:
<ul>
<li>Specialty: Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery</li>
<li>Schedule: Full-time exempt. Five 8-hour day shifts or rotating 10 hour day shifts. Monday &ndash; Friday, no weekends or holidays. Rotating Triage call</li>
</ul>
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide comprehensive pre- and post-transplant care for patients with advanced heart failure.</li>
<li>Assist in managing mechanical circulatory support devices (LVADs, ECMO, etc.) and post-transplant immunosuppression.</li>
<li>Perform patient evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and implement evidence-based treatment plans.</li>
<li>Collaborate with transplant surgeons and cardiologists in rounding, patient management, and procedural assistance.</li>
<li>Educate patients and families on transplant procedures, medications, and long-term care plans.</li>
<li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research efforts to advance cardiac transplant outcomes.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Maryland (or eligible for licensure).</li>
<li>Prior experience in cardiac surgery, transplant, critical care, or cardiology strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in post-transplant care, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced heart failure management a plus.</li>
<li>Strong clinical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to patient-centered care.</li>
