Position and Salary 
The Attorney General&rsquo;s Office is recruiting for two permanent full-time Legal Office Assistant positions in the General Services Division. These positions are located in Seattle &amp; Olympia, Washington, and are represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE). Note: There is the possibility of an in-training from the Office Assistant 3 level.
Legal Office Assistant (range 40) Salary range: $42,972 - $57,252, Office Assistant 3 (range 38) Salary range: $41,004 - $54,504 
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate&rsquo;s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

About the General Services Division

Duties and Essential Functions of a Legal Office Assistant

In-Training Defined: An in-training is on-the-job instruction designed for candidates with less experience than the required goal classification to learn and grow into a higher-level role. In this job posting, we are open to considering those eligible at the Office Assistant 3 level who are interested in learning on-the-job with the goal of moving into the Legal Office Assistant role. You&rsquo;ll gain the competencies and skills needed to successfully perform your duties while being supported by your supervisor, manager, and coworkers. Upon successful completion of your training and demonstrating knowledge of the position requirements, you will be promoted into the Legal Office Assistant level.

Qualifications

 Option 3: A combination of two years of college education and/or relevant experience.

Expected pay for this position is $20.41 - $24.01/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.</div>
Overview:
<div>
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant Care Guide is responsible for registering, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharging, and following-up with patients. It is the role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their &ldquo;secondary guests&rdquo; through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This role is responsible for a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. Floating to various facilities required based on business need.</div>
Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
</div><div>Education: High school diploma/GED and completion of a medical assistant (MA) program, certification course with applied learning, or equivalent MA training/experience.</div><div>
Licensure/ Certification: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential. American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential. National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential. National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential. American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date. National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP). American Allied Health (AAH).</div><div>
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. This position requires specific knowledge and training related to the performance of administrative skills, technical / clinical skills and medical procedures commonly performed in a medical practice setting.</div><div></div><div> 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
</div><div>Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record and phlebotomy.</div><div></div><div> 
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of Epic. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.</div><div></div><div>
