Essential Duties:</b></p><ul><li>
Clinical Duties &bull; Perform complex ophthalmic photographic procedures such as optical coherence tomography, fundus photography, disc photography, fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, slit lamp photography, gonio photography, and external photography to assist in the diagnosis of ocular pathology. &bull; Perform complex ophthalmic ultrasound procedures such as A-scan, B-scan and UBM. Write preliminary reports on all scans performed and meet proficiency requirements of the department. &bull; Perform complex ophthalmic electrophysiology testing such as ERG, EOG, VEP, GVF, and color vision tests. Write preliminary reports on all ISCEV standard testing protocols performed and meet proficiency requirements of the department. &bull; Perform complex ophthalmic microperimetry and manual kinetic perimetry. &bull; Performs duties proficiently in multicenter clinical trials and fulfillment of applicable certification requirements. &bull; Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment to conduct appropriate tests and procedures. &bull; Prepare the necessary supplies for photography, ultrasound and electrophysiology, exams, and procedures. &bull; Provide maintenance of all imaging equipment. &bull; Troubleshoot complex diagnostic testing and PACS problems. &bull; Provide direct patient care in the diagnostic department. &bull; Provide patient care support for other services, when necessary. &bull; Prepare exam results for interpretation by physician. &bull; Consult with physician concerning test results and alert physician to positive test results or test abnormalities. &bull; Report patient concerns, symptoms, reactions and changes to licensed clinic personnel. &bull; Serve as liaison between the medical staff and patients to answer questions, coordinate patient care, and/or provide patient education. &bull; Monitor and track work requests. &bull; Assist in research photography. &bull; Provide advanced photography for research publications, presentations, posters, and papers. &bull; Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with organizational safety policies and according to applicable regulations; maintain a neat workstation and environment. &bull; Provide excellent customer service. &bull; Maintain confidentiality of all records and information related to patients, physicians, employees, the University and in related interests. &bull; Obtain, document and update in appropriate system(s) all necessary patient information.</li><li>

The Housing Supportive Services Program (HSSP) is a specialized program that provides comprehensive and intensive field-based community mental health services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals in Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) who are formerly homeless and have a Severe Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Senior Clinician will conduct psychotherapy with adult members that have severe and persistent mental illness in the office, in member’s homes, or the field. The Senior Clinician’s primary responsibilities are to engage members and to coordinate mental health and recovery services that will ensure housing stability and community integration. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality provision of direct individual and group therapeutic services and case management services, while fostering teamwork among staff and across departments and programs.

<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Provide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual members.</li>
<li>Conduct individual, family and group psychotherapy.</li>
<li>Develop effective, trusting relationships with members, with a focus on facilitating independence and maintenance of improved physical and mental health.</li>
<li>Collaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan; review and update it upon completion of goals.</li>
<li>Assist management and other Clinicians with program evaluation and modification for future program improvements and growth.</li>
<li>Assist members with becoming involved in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery reflective of The People Concern’s model which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation.</li>
<li>Work cooperatively and cohesively with other members of the HSSP team, including participation in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision, and trainings.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documents.</li>
<li>Become LPS Designated with the Department of Mental Health for Los Angeles County.</li>
<li>Respond to crises, assess, and initiate 5150 Applications as needed.</li>
<li>Scheduled to be on rotation as LPS Designated staff for monthly Mental Health Department After Hours Calendar.</li>
