What you <b>Deliver</b></p><ul><li>
Legal Assistance: Provide legal assistance and direct representation to immigrant clients before the USCIS. Asylum Office or Immigration Court on matters such as family petition, removal of conditional status, adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum, removal defense and any immigration proceedings. Direct representation encompasses the following tasks: conduct legal intake and screening, interview with clients, affiants, witness, experts, case managers, and others who can provide information or statement in furtherance of the client's immigration matters; draft, prepare and assemble relevant immigration petitions; conduct legal research; write memorandum of law, motions or briefs in support of applications and petitions filed before USCIS. Asylum Office. State, Immigration and federal Courts, Board of Immigration Appeals, Administrative Appeals Office, EOIR, and other immigration agencies; prepare client for interviews or court hearings. Assist in preparing clients for court hearing and USCIS interviews, perform interpretations at USCIS, asylum office, and other interviews.</li><li>
Case Management: Maintain client physical and electronic files according to program requirements, including case notes, correspondence, filings, calendars, and dockets. Maintain a case status list and case service statistics for Cabrini Center and program funders. Participate in case reviews with Senior Attorney, Managing Attorney or Associate Legal Director as applicable. Maintain a minimum of 30-40 active cases. Keep abreast of new immigration regulations and policies as they arise to better serve clients.</li><li>
Meetings: Attendance and participation is mandatory in team meetings, Cabrini staff meetings, and other agency meetings. Participate in calls and meetings organized by funders, city-wide advocacy groups, and local service providers when appropriate and helpful.</li><li>
Contract Compliance: Comply with all contract requirements. Provide data and statistical information for grant, contract and other reporting purposes. Provide accurate and timely monthly data, time logs, and reports for internal use, funder use, and other entity use. Participate in trainings, webinars, meetings, calls, etc. as required by funders.</li><li>
Charla and Outreach: Participate in Charlas by presenting and performing legal consultations. Participate in program and agency community legal education and outreach efforts (Spanish and English), particularly as they relate to issues of immigration law and remedies for survivors of crime, providing direct Information to prospective clients, attending information sessions on asylum, deportation and other immigration relief.</li><li>
Supervision: Provide supervision and direction to Legal Assistant, Paralegal and/or interns on a full range of legal services provided by the program.</li><li>

Research and identify qualified suppliers; plan and organize requirements, specifications, and appropriate supporting documentation for requested procurements.<br>

Obtain budgetary quotes from suppliers and prepare appropriate budget planning information for management.<br>

Maintain appropriate documentation of purchase transaction file and records for auditing purposes.<br>
<br>
Prepare reports on a routine and ad-hoc basis to provide information on purchase requisition/purchase order activities.<br>
<br>
Interact regularly to assist College personnel in the processing of requisitions, making recommendations to personnel regarding suppliers and sources of specific materials and advising the personnel of the proper procedures to follow in making the purchases.<br>
<br>
Promote small business utilization through participation in vendor outreach programs.<br>
<br>
Provide training to assigned Customers regarding various procurement policies procedures, methodologies and PeopleSoft procurement training.<br>
<br>
Participate in management meetings, advising management of: market conditions; work conditions and activities; materials, equipment and services price trends; and vendor activity that could affect budget or college operations.<br>
<br>
Utilize knowledge of College specific requirements for good and services, to formulate short-term and long-term strategies in conjunction with Procurement Operations to ensure quality and continuity of supply and minimizing total cost.<br>
<br>
Familiarity with College Budgets; should possess a general knowledge of the General Expenditures Subaccount Listing to verify the correct expense account is used relative to the transaction for all procurement, Accounts Payable, and other related requests.<br>
<br>
Makes purchases for routine good and services as permitted under HCC&rsquo;s Procurement Card Program.<br>
<br>
Generate effective communications, good relationships and a positive image with suppliers, promoting courtesy, objectively, honestly, and fairness.<br>
<br>
Develop an effective open working relationship within all of HCC in resolving day-to-day procurement related issues (e.g., purchase requisition tracking and expediting; expediting product delivery with suppliers; Receiving Reports discrepancies; and supplier non-performance issues.<br>
<br>
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.<br>

Education &amp; Experience<br>

</li><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
</li><li>3 years hands-on experience in purchasing a broad range of materials, equipment and services required
